Eligibility Requirements for IFBI Courses and its admission procedure

Institute of Finance, Banking and Insurance (IFBI) offer diploma and post graduate diploma programs to aspirants who are interested in the field of banking and insurance. Diploma programs like Banking Sales, Banking Operations and Retail Banking are helpful in getting a lucrative career in HSBC Bank, ICICI Bank and Axis Bank respectively.

For getting admission to certain courses, candidates should qualify an aptitude test and IFBI interview. In the case of other courses, candidates need to qualify IFBI Common Entrance Test and interview held by the concerned bank.

IFBI Courses

  • Diploma in Banking Sales (DBS)
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Banking (PGDB)
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Banking Operations (PGDBO)
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Retail Banking (PGDRB)

Eligibility Requirements

To join Diploma course in Banking Sales, one should complete their graduation (any stream) with minimum of 50% aggregate. Candidates having MBA or any postgraduate degree are also eligible to apply if they possess minimum of 50% aggregate during their postgraduate course. Maximum age limit specified for the candidates at the time of admission is 32 years.

Graduates can join Post Graduate Diploma course in Banking if their age is not more than 25 years. But such candidates need to complete their graduation with minimum of 50% aggregate. Those who are pursuing graduation can also apply for the course if they can complete their graduation with minimum of 50% aggregate at the time of admission.

Those who possess minimum of 50% aggregate in X, XII and graduation can join Post Graduate Diploma in Banking Operations if their age is not more than 25 years.

If the candidates are interested to join Post Graduate Diploma course in Retail Banking, then they should obtain minimum of 50% aggregate during their graduation. Also their age should not be more than 24 years at the time of admission.

Admission Process

For getting admission to Diploma in Banking Sales (DBS) program, one should first qualify the aptitude test and interview held by a panel of IFBI and HSBC. After that, they should undergo a psychometric assessment having duration of 40 minutes. Only those who perform well in this assessment can enroll for the course

Candidates are selected for Post Graduate Diploma course in Banking according to their performance in IFBI Common Entrance Test and Personal Interview.

In the case of Post Graduate Diploma course in Banking Operation, admission will be based on an aptitude test and personal interview.

Those who want to get admission into Post Graduate Diploma course in Retail Banking should first of all appear for the IFBI Common Entrance Test. After that they should appear for the rounds of IFBI interview and Axis Bank interview. Admission will be granted on the basis of the score obtained in IFBI entrance test, IFBI interview and Axis Bank interview.
