This Examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission in yearly twice i.e.

NDA - I

NDA have three wings i.e.

Required Eligibility Criteria for NDA EXamination

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have a 12th standard with PCM (Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics) subjects from any recognized institution

There is no percentage required for this examination

Age Limit

Candidates age should between 16.5 years to 19 years

There is no age relaxation for this examination

Nationality

Candidates should be a citizen of India

Marital Status

Candidate should be a citizen of India

Hello Aspirant,

NDA means National Defence Academy.It is an institution of the central Govt where the eligible candidates are awarded the degree of graduation in science or Arts depending upon the subjects studied in plus two class.Those who studied math. & physics will be awarded graduation in science & others in Arts.

NDA exam is conducted by UPSC twice in a year on the basis of plus two standadard for admission in to three years course in NDA & after the cadets are given pre commission training in the respective wings of Army,Air Force & Navy for one year.Then the cadets are posted in the technical wing in the respective wing in any of three.They may be posted as Signals,EME,Engineers etc.

Once Commissioned in a particular Technical Branch, the Officer is then Sent to undergo a degree in Engineering in a subject specific to the Branch. Even Infantry Officers can now go for Engineering Courses but there are very few vacancies.
