Can I do PhD without 55% in Post graduation?

Eligibility criteria required to study PhD Course:

The basic eligibility criteria required to study PhD course is given below:

@ In order to be eligible for pursuing PhD course, you must have completed Master's Degree in the concerned discipline from a recognized university or institute.

@ Also the minimum percentage required in the qualifying course is 55% Mark's which is mandatory as far as my best knowledge is concerned.

@ Besides meeting this criteria, you should also qualify the national level entrance Examinations namely SLET or GATE or UGC NET Examination..etc.,
