First thing I which I would like to let you know that the IIT ( Indian Institute of Technology ) examination is officially known as JEE ( Joint Entrance Examination ).

JEE is a national level engineering entrance examination held for admission in undergraduate technical courses in CFTIs ( Centrally Funded Technical Institutes ) like IIT, NIT, ISM, etc. and other private engineering colleges.

The minimum educational requirement for appearing in JEE 2017 is a higher secondary school degree with PCM group as main subjects with atleast 45% marks from a recognized board. Further students having passed their class 12th in the year 2014 or before are not eligible for JEE 2017 .

So having passed class 12th in 2015 you are eligible for appearing in JEE 2017 but not for admission in IITs as for the same you need to appear in JEE Advanced 2017 for which only students having passed their class 12th in 2016 or 2017 are eligible.

For more details about JEE you can log on to the link www.jeemain.nic.in

No, you can not apply for IIT JE exam in 2017. Because you are allowed to attempt IIT exam only three times consecutively starting from the year of appearing 12th standard. So, you are not allowed to appear in IIT 2017 exam.
My suggestion to you is that you should complete your diploma course and then apply for LEET exam. LEET stands for Lateral Entry Entrance Test. You can apply for direct admission in 2nd year of B.Tech through LEET exam.

You have completed 12th standard in 2015 so you are eligible for IIT entrance exam 2017.

If you have completed 12th standard from a recognized board with physics, chemistry and mathematics with above 50% marks then you are eligible for IIT JEE main exam. 5% marks relaxation is provided for SC/ST category candidates.

Your age should be in between 17 to 25 years.

JEE stands for Joint Entrance Exam.

Eligibility Criteria

** Candidate should have passed 12th class from a recognized board of Education.

** Age of candidate should be minimum of 17 years.

As per my knowledge, you are not eligible to appear in the Joint Entrance examination.
