There is no entrance exam as such for admission in CA course.
If you do satisfy the academic qualification required for the course then you can directly get admission in the course otherwise not. Also, there is no age limitation for the course. The CA course comprises of three stages. You have to pass each stage to become eligible for next stage. When you qualify all the exams and undergo required training then only you will become a certified Chartered Accountant. The three stages of the course are; I. Competence Proficiency Test (CPT) II. Integrated Proficiency Competence Course (IPCC) and III. Final Course CPT If you have passed 10+2 exam (any discipline) from a recognised board then you can register for the test. Once you qualify CPT then you can register for IPCC. IPCC IPCC is divided into Group-A and Group-B You can register for both the Group exams in the same session or in different sessions. You will have to undergo a 3 year Articled Training after passing the group exams. After the Articled Training or during the last year of Articled Training, you can apply for CA Final Course exam. If you appear the group exams in different sessions then you can start Articled Training after passing Group-A exam. You can appear Group-B exam anytime during the training or later. You can apply for Final Course after passing both group exams and Articled Training. If you register for the course after 10+2 there is no percentage restriction. If you are a graduate and you satisfy any one of the below mentioned academic qualification then you can directly apply for IPCC i.e. you could get exemption from CPT. For this the academic qualification required is, B.Com. with 50% or more marks in aggregate or Graduation in a non commerce discipline (without Maths. in Graduation) and at least 55% marks in aggregate in Graduation or Graduation in a non commerce discipline (with Maths. in Graduation) and at least 60% marks in aggregate in Graduation. |
