Indian Navy is one of the renowned as well as a respected jobs of the Government of India.

There are two chances every year for you. Generally, examination is held twice a year in the months of June and December every year.

They recruit through a entrance exam named Short Service Commission(SSC).

Eligibility Criteria :-

Nationality : Indian.

Marital Status : Unmarried.

Educational Qualifications :

i)You should pass the 12th or equivalent with Science and Mathematics with 60% or above marks in aggregate and optional as Chemistry or Biology or Computer Science.

ii)You should pass B.Sc in Physics, Mathematics or Electronics with minimum 60% marks.
or
iii)You should pass BE or B.Tech with minimum 65% marks in aggregate in any discipline from any institution recognized by AICTE.
or
iv)You should have M. Sc in Physics, Mathematics or Electronics with minimum 55% marks.

Age Limits :19.5 to 25 years as the examination time.

Physical Standards:-

Height: Minimum 157 cm

Eye standard: Without glasses better eye 6/6 and worse 6/9

Color perception: CP II

The eligible candidates will be called up for Service Selection Board (SSB) based on their educational intelligence in graduation.

Exam Procedure
:
The eligible candidates are called for the written examination of objective-type of 75 minutes which includes:

i)General Science

ii)Mathematics

iii)General Knowledge

iv)General English

I am sorry to say that you cannot join the navy after 12th because you have to pass with physics and maths.

but after graduation you may apply for CDSE and join navy.

I am very sorry to say that with 48% you are not eligible to apply for the Indian Navy.

you can join Indian Indian Naval wing of NDA after passing 12th through NDA Exam.

NDA - NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY exam conducted by UPSC twice every year as NDA-I and NDA-II for entry in to three wings of NDA i.e. Indian Army, Navy and Air Force.

The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian male within the age of 16.5 to 19 years of age having either appearing for the final 12th exam or passed from any stream from a recognised Central/State Board with good physical fitness is eligible to apply for NDA.

As you are interested for Navy, you should have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics 12th standard for which you are eligible to apply for Indian Naval wing wing of NDA, but you have to go through certain physical standard after passing the written exam.

The process of registration for NDA-I has already been completed the exam will be held on 15.04.2012.

You have to wait for the forthcoming NDA-II 2012 exam, the notification of which is expected in the month of May 2012.

AGE Limits for NDA exam:
the person should above 18 year 0f age not below then that age cannot be attend this examination

if i will score more than 90% will i get direct selection in nda or i have to write entrance exam?

As you have got only 48% in your 12th which is too low for applying to indian navy or any of the armed force services. the minimum marks required is 60%[.

However you can opt for higher education eg. graduation in general stream and score well in it then apply separately to navy or the interested force of your choice with the graduation marks. rest depends on you.....all the best.

NDA - National Defence Academy

The eligibility criteria:

Nationality- Citizen of India.

Sex- Only unmarried male candidates.

Age - 16.5 to 19 years.

Education Qualification.

To join Indian Army - 12th pass.

To join Indian Navy & Indian Air force - 12th pass with physics and maths subjects.

As Indian Navy requires physics and you have finished your 12th in commerce stream, you can join Indian Army.
