I would suggest you to try in some other reputed colleges and it would be much better if you can get admission in M.Tech through GATE.
Or else you can go for some other reputed colleges because as far as iam concerned,Veltech is not that good at all.And iam advising you this because i was there in chennai for 8 long years and I am familiar with it.

Even if you are not able to score good marks in GATE,still there are lots of other colleges where you can get admission in M.Tech.

if you want to do MTech form private university then it is very good university.

it gives very good placement.

if you want to do mtech form good govt college/university then wright the GATE exam.

vel tech is one of the hopeless university in india..... it is just has some hopeless fellows in management who show dictatorship and never let you study.simply they give lot of writing work which actually is of no use... if you have any problem no body pays heed to it.... only those are been cursed by god only come to so called university vel tech which has no cacability of becoming university even for next 1000 years.... i beg you not to come here at any condition

Well friend, i dun have much idea about the Veltech university but if you are in a fix, you can consider other universities too for the studies of M.tech. UPES dehradun is also a very good university that offers M.tech with specialization in core subjects like Structural engineering, Built environment etc. First of its kind, the university has made its mark in the educational sector in a very short time.

If u ask if Vel tech university is good yes i will say its perfectly good....

Lazy people and Brainless people find it very difficult to survive in Vel tech. Vel tech has best Mtech courses in par with other colleges.......
Other colleges even IIT's and NIT's provide M tech Academic courses...
so far Vel tech is the only one providing M.Tech Industrial course.. where one year u study in COllege and other year u go to the industry to study based on your specialization...... Look at website for Industrial courses information.. which college in India has this apart from Vel tech?

Yes..Veltech university in Chennai is good for M.Tech..I can recommend it strongly, Because I am recently graduated in Veltech..Now i got job in one of the top companies in India.M.Tech teaching faculty is amazing .No words to say.
