After diploma, you are not eligible for B.Tech course in IIT because IIT is not included part of jelet exam.

So you can try for other institute for B.Tech course.

In West Bengal, there are so many reputed college have seat for lateral candidate. But you should qualify in Jexpo exam. Details of Jexpo exam is given below.

JEXPO entrance exam is conducted by West Bengal Council for Technical Education.

Those candidates who have passed matriculation/10th with Mathematics, Physical Science & English from Central or State Board recognized by Govt are eligible for JEXPO exam.

Your age should be below 21 years old.

Candidates who have completed Diploma Program from an All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) approved Institute wit at least 45% marks are Eligible for admission to the Second year of 4 year Degree Program of Engineering through Lateral Entry Notified by AICTE.

These Candidates need not to appear for any entrance examination.

The duration of the course for Diploma Candidates for B.Tech is 3 years.

No, you cannot study B.Tech course in IIT after completion of three years Diploma course because IIT's does not offer lateral entry admissions for Diploma holders. Since, IIT's does not offer admissions in B.Tech course to lateral entry candidates, you cannot pursue B.Tech course in IIT. But, if you are interested to pursue B.Tech course, then, you can get admission in B.Tech course by appearing in Lateral Entry Entrance Test (LEET). By qualifying LEET examination, you can get direct admission in second year of four years B.Tech course.
