Re: How should I go about searching for a Job in Government Sector after B.Tech ECE(75%)? friend for govt. jobs u have to study as well as hone your problem solving skills.there are various psu exams for ece grads like ntpc,drdo,bel,bhel,sail,ecil,tcil,bsnl etc. for success in these exam prepare from a std. gate level book like gkp or galgotia. |

There are many jobs for ECE students in govt. sectors like in EICL BHEl SAIL BSNL/MTNL Refinery ONGC is for mech students but also some opportunities for ECE students there are many more jobs in "EMPLOYMENT" newspaper. |

UPSC conducts IES exam for 4 branches- * Mechanical * Civi * Electrical * Electronics and Telecommunication You should be 21 to 30 years of age. You can also give other exams to get into public sector jobs such as- * BHEL * BSNL * NTPC * VSNL * MTNL * DRDO * ISRO You can upload your resume on their websites. Good luck |

Electronics and communication is best department in engineering **it has plenty of job chances in many fields **for government jobs you write union public service commission exams **many it companies like tcs,wipro,satyam offer good jobs and good salary **many communication companies like airtel,vodafone offer many jobs to ece candidates **and also core companies offer offer good jobs **you choose any one field all the best |

ECE department is better than other department . ECE can apply any software company but ECE have chance for all software company. Also for govt job position ECE have priority.
