Re: Minimum qualification to apply for IPS Entrance Examination? dear friend, these are the eligiblity for IPS exams- Age required- 21-30 years (Upper age limit relaxable for SCs/STs, OBCs ) Educational Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree of a recognized university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification. you can apply IPS through UPSC exam. all the best |

Educational Qualification for I.P.S Exam : The candidate should be qualified in under graduation with 60% percentage of marks in any stream from recognized university . Age limit for I.P.S Exam : The candidates should be 21 to 30 years . the relaxation period is given to sc/st candidates for 5 years and 3 years for other backward candidates and 10 years for the widow and handicapped candidates . Number Attempts : General candidate are eligible to write entrance exam for 4 times and 7 times for the obc candidates . there is no limit for the sc/st candidates there can write any number of times in between 35 years . Note: if you become ips officer you should physically well . the candidate should not affect by any diseases .candidate should be qualified in wight , height , eye sight etc . the candidate should be take regular exercise . The exam and other important notification of the ips exam are published in employment news and other popular news papers . |

Re: Minimum qualification to apply for IPS Entrance Examination? the ips exam is part of the upsc civil services exam through which selections are made in ias/ifs/ips and other services. the min eligibility to appear for ips exam is a grad. degree from a recognised univ. the age is b/w21-30 yrs and their are 4 attempts for gen.,7 attempts for obc,and unlimited attempts for sc/st till yhey attain the age of 30. |

Re: Minimum qualification to apply for IPS Entrance Examination? dear information seeker, THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR JOINING IPS the eligibility criteria for joining the Indian police Services is that an aspirant should be a minimum garduate from a recognised university or a college in India. He/She should be 21years to 30 yrs of age at the time of appearing in the UPSC held Civil Services Examination. The UPSC stands for union public service commision. This body is responsible for conducting various union level examination. Of them one is the Indian Civil Services Examination, held each year. The examination is a Three tier process. The priliminary examination is objective in nature. it is a day process and held each other in the month of May. In August the resulte are declared and the successful candidates are called for appearing in the Mains examination, which is spread in the months of october and November. In december the UPSC brings out a notification for the next years examination. In March your Main examination result is declared. April-May you are called for the interviews best of luck |

The IPS exam is conducted by UPSC every year for those candidates who want to become IAS, IPS, IFS, IES, etc. The minimum qualification required for the UPSC exam is graduation. A candidate appearing for this exam must be at least holding an under graduate degree from some recognized institution or university. Candidates in their final year of graduation can also apply for this exam. Candidate appearing for this exam must be of age between 21-30 years, while there is an age relaxation for 3 years and 5 years for OBC and SC/ST candidates respectively. |

Re: Minimum qualification to apply for IPS Entrance Examination? Hi friend, To become an IPS officer you must have cleared an exam called UPSC conducted by Union Public Service Commission. To apply for that exam educational qualification required for you is a degree. You must have completed your graduation for applying this exam and your age must be between 21 and 30 yrs. The physical standards required for becoming an IPS is as follows Height – Male 165 cm Pahari Male (general also) & ST (not the SC/ OBC) – 160 cm Chest – Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm. Eye sight – 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. 6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye. Near vision J 1 for good eye. J2 for worst eye. The correction is by lenses only. High standard for the Colour-blind test. No inherent night blindness. Vision should stereoscopic. Blood pressure (High) – Age 23 – 123, age 24 – 124, age 25 –122, age 28 – 124, age 30 –125, age 32 – 126, age 34 – 127. Ear- good listening & normal ear cavity. 1000 to 4000 frequency hearing impairment shd not be more than 30 decibels. Nasal- candidate should not stammer while speaking. |
