Re: Which is the better stream in engineering between E.C.E and civil? The best and long lasting course in engineering is ECE. They can work in IT jobs as well as jobs related to their own subject. They always have demand. Even UPSC Indian Engineering Services is also Having ECE as a subject. So, anyone's first choice is ECE It is also ok if you go for civil, It would be interesting and gives your brain, enough strain to do something. |

Re: Which is the better stream in engineering between E.C.E and civil? Dear friend, According to me Civil is a better branch than ECE because infrastructure is a basic need of today. There are a number of govt jobs for civil engineers. You can go in irrigation or rural engg services easily. You can also do your own private contruction work. You can go in building construction, road construction, dam construction etc. Civil engg will also give you a higher salary. There is a lot of chance of promotion. |

Hi friend, Both streams are ever green streams in engineering.The best one is ECE as it has wide scope in the electronics field.You can get opportunities in companies like sony,intel,amd,panasonic. you can also go to comapnies like the BSNL,VODAFONE that has best value in terms of the communication.you can easily draw good salary of 5 laksh if you good skills. Through both streams you can get government job opportunities.It all depends upon your interest.But when compared to civil engineering ECE had an additional opportunity that is you can go even for IT companies for campus placements where the chances are less for civil engineer. All the very best .what ever stream you choose be confident and try to understand the concept then surely you will get good job. |
