Re: How to prepare for Bank PO exams? For most of the banks, the entry level will be clerks or probationary officers. The selection procedure will be by -Written test -Interview The written exam consists of questions from several sections like 1)Reasoning 2)Quantitative aptitude 3)General awareness 4)General English 5)Computer awareness/ marketing One has to qualify in each of the sections in order to get through the written exam and in addition there is negative marking and in most cases it is 1/4th. Preparing for Reasoning and Aptitude, R.S.Agarwaal book is excellent book and you can prepare on your own. Keep in mind that in every bank exam reasoning paper, 10 questions are problem figures. For these questions to answer, you need to be focus on 2 things- the direction at which figure rotates and the angle at which figure rotates in each step. Practice them as much as you can so that you may take less time to answer those questions. To get good score in aptitude section, you should be good at calculations and at the same time accurate. The difficult section is general awareness for most of the students. It may include several questions from -national affairs -international affairs -sports -awards -persons in news So to be good at in answering those questions, go through news papers, business magazines and current affairs related books. |

Re: How to prepare for Bank PO exams? The basic pattern of these tests remains the same. So preparing for one test will be helpful for the others. First make a note of all the topics to be covered in each area like data interpretation, quantitative and verbal ability etc. Cover all the concepts for each of them. Next start solving previous year papers. Check out the weak areas and correct them. You should purchase relevant books from the market for this purpose. They will give you all the information from the concept level to the previous years solved question papers. |
