 First of all, I would like to tell you that to join Indian Army, you will have to appear for NDA(National Defence Academy) examination. NDA examination is conducted as NDA-I and NDA-II by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) twice every year. NDA has three wings:- * Indian Army. * Indian Navy. * Indian Air Force. The exam pattern for NDA examination:-  The syllabus of NDA examination:-  The eligibility criteria required for the Indian Army examination are prescribed as below:- * Completion of 12th in commerce discipline from any recognised college or university. * Age limit- 16.5-19 yrs. * Sex- Male. * Marital status- Unmarried or single. * Nationality- Indian. * Physical eligibility-   NDA qualifications:-  Hope the above mentioned will help you to get the information you were searching for. |

The basic Eligibility criteria for this examination are as follows. ->Candidate must basically be Indian. ->Appearing Candidate must not get married at the time of application. ->The age of the candidate must be in between 16 1/2 and 19 years only. on 1st Jan or 1st July respectively with NDA1 and NDA2 These are the basic eligibility criterion Coming to the Educational Qualification Requirements. For Airforce wing or Naval wing the candidates must be completed 10+2 in MPC Stream only For Army wing the candidates with all 10+2 are eligible to apply. Some Conditions after joining the training are ->you should not think about marriage till the end of the training. ->if you found married in between then you have to revert some amount which is said to be spent on you for training. and you will get banned from training. Physical Qualities. ->Every candidate must be physically fit. ->If any minor defects they have to get it corrected before their suspension from the program/training. NDA Examination is conducted by UPSC twice in a year. After qualifying NDA Examination you can join Defence Services like : ->Indian Army ->Indian Air Force ->Indian Navy The Eligibility Criteria: ------------------------ >> The candidate must have to passed 12th class from a recognised university. >> And the final year of 12th class students also to apply for this NDA Examination. >> The age limit in between 16.5 to 19 years. >> The candiate must be single and medically fit. Re: What is the procedure to Join Indian Army for a Commerce student? dear friend, as you are from commerce and you want to join in Indian Army then you have to first complete your graduation.. After completion of your graduation you can appear in defense exam like-CDSE.. CDSE(combined defense service exam) is conducted by UPSC... The eligibility criteria for CDSE exam- *one must have complete the graduation first.. *The age should be in between 19-25years... these are the criteria you have to fulfill.. All the best.. |

Ya of course the commerce students can definitely apply for the NDA exam but they are eligible to get only the Army wing in the NDA. Below I have provided the eligibility criteria for the NDA entrance exam you can go through that. Eligibility for NDA NDA is the entrance exam for the admission in the India's NATIONAL DEFENSE ACADEMY. The NDA exam is conducted by the UPSC twice in a year. One you clear all the exams in the NDA then you get a job under the government of India. After a training of one year after selection you get the permanent job. The eligibility for the NDA exam is that one should have passed the 10+2 board exam from any stream but from a recognized board , it is for the Army wing only. But for the Air Force and the Navy you have to pass the 10+2 board exam from the recognized board and should have maths and physics as the compulsory subjects in the 10+2 board exam. The age criteria is from 16.5 years to 19 years for the general category students. Also there is upper age relaxation for the OBC of 3 years and for the SC/St there is 5 years of age relaxation on the upper age limit. Even I have attached the detailed info about the NDA exam you can have a look at it.And for other details you can visit the official website of UPSC http://www.upsc.gov.in Otherwise the commerce students can also join the air force and the navy after the completion of their graduation and then they can give the CDS exam and after qualifying that exam they can join the Indian Army.For the other details on the CDS you can visit the UPSC official website http://www.upsc.gov.in Hope this would have cleared your doubts. To be eligible for the exam, you must be a graduate, in any stream. The minimum eligible age for the exam is 19 years and the maximum age limit is 24 years. If you want to join Indian Army after +2, you may appear for NDA exam. NDA exam is also conducted by UPSC. The minimum eligible age for the exam is 16 1/2 years and the maximum age limit is 19 years. Since, both the exams are conducted by UPSC, you may refer to the official website of UPSC for more details. |
