Re: At the age of 35 can I appear for Civil Services Exams?

Sorry to say,
You are not eligible for the exam. Because the age limit for the exam is the 21-30 years for the unreserved category.

The age relaxation for the obc category is the 3 years, and age relaxation for the 5 years for the sc/st.

There is no age relaxation for the government servant or the retired person.

So you have only option you go with the present job,

Best of luck for the exam.

GOOD LUCK

No not 37
only SC/ST Candidates are eligible to apply for the examination upto 35 years of age.

that too you have to get 35 years on or after aug 1st of the year of application for the exam.

then only you are eligible for the examination.

actually the age limit for general applicants is 30 years but as the reserved categoried students has some relaxation in the upper age limit.

OBC candidates are relaxed upto 3 years i.e., till 33 years they can attempt for the examination.

SC/ST candidates are relaxed upto 5 years i.e.,.till 35 years they can attempt for the examination.

Hi

I am sorry to tell you that 35 is the last age limit for the SC/ST candidates to appear for the Civil Service Examination.

Since you are an SC/ST, this relaxation is for you. You can consider this to be the last year for applying to the Civil Service Examination.

The following are the Eligibility Criteria's for the CSE :

1. Nationality should be an Indian
2. The candidate should be a graduate in any discipline from any recognized university or board.
3. A minimum of 50% aggregate is required in the graduation for the candidate to appear for the Civil Service Examination.
4. Age limit is 21-30 for the General Candidates, 21-33 for the OBC candidates and 21-35 for the SC/ST candidates.

You can try for some other private jobs, bank jobs, etc

All the best.

Re: At the age of 35 can I appear for Civil Services Exams?

dear friend,
Eligibility criteria for Civil service exam:-
*The candidate must have complete the graduation in any trade..
*The candidates age should be in between 21-30 years..
For SC/ST the age relaxation is 5years and for OBC the age relaxation is 3years..

To appear in any civil service exams you have to fulfill these eligibility criteria first..
As you are from SC category and your age is 35 years, then you can apply for this year civil service exams only if your age is reached 35 years on 1st August of 2011..
From next years you will not eligible for any civil service exam..
You are too late my friend.. You will get only one chance to crack the exam..

All the best..

5 year age relaxation is given to SC/ST candidates and 3 year age relaxation is given to OBC candidates.

So, now you are not eligible to give civil services exam.
