The eligible candidate must be n unmarried Indian Male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good Physical and Mental health. If you are quite interested to become a member of Indian Army, you need to physically fit, mentally strong as it is said to be one of the most toughest jobs. A lot of toil is required as you may face many situations while saving the nation. Firstly, you should be a good runner,should not be fatigue, a good sound mind with a spirit to save nation, properly developed body without any kind of weakness, every part of yours body should be healthy to the maximum extent to which you can make it and last but not the least you need to have a proper height and weight. You must be in good physical and mental health and free from any disease/ disability, which is likely to interfere with efficient performance of duties. There should be no evidence of weak constitution, bodily defects or overweight. 2. Your chest should be well developed. The minimum range of expansion after full inspiration should be 5 cm. 3. There should be no disease of bones and joints of the body. 4. You should be free of any past history of mental breakdown or fits. 5. Your hearing should be normal without any evidence of present or past disease of the ear, nose and throat. 6. There should be no sign of functional or organic disease of the heart and blood vessels. Your blood pressure should also be normal. 7. The muscles of the abdomen should be well developed without any enlargement of the liver or spleen. Any evidence of disease of internal organs of the abdomen can be a cause for rejection. 8. An un-operated hernia can make you unfit for selection. If operated, this should have been done at least six months prior to the present examination and healing should be complete without any potential for recurrence. 9. There should be no hydrocele, varicocele or piles. If operated for hydromel and/or varicocele, this should have been done at least six months prior to the present examination and healing should be complete without any recurrence. 10. Urine examination will be done and any abnormality, if detected, can be a cause for rejection. 11. Any disease of the skin, which is likely to cause disability or disfigurement, will also be a cause for rejection. 12. Vision will be tested. You must have good binocular vision. In case you have undergone or are detected to have undergone Radial Keratotomy, or any other procedure to improve the visual acuity, you will be permanently rejected. 13. You should have sufficient number of natural and sound teeth. A minimum of 14 dental points will be acceptable. When 32 teeth are present, the total dental points are 22. Hai friend, The physical standards and medical tests to join Indian army are, Medical Eligibility : The candidate must undergo a medical check up at a military hospital and guarantee the following: The applicant should be mentally sound with a powerful physique. Normal hearing ability in both ears is a must. The candidate should necessarily have a good binocular vision and the ability to read 6/6 in distance vision board. The applicant needs to be free from diseases like piles, hydrocele and deformity of bones. The candidate must have sufficient number of gum and teeth. Physical Eligibility Criteria : Western Himalayan applicants : height-166cms, weight -48kgs and chest- 77cms Eastern Himalayan candidates: height-160cms,weight- 48kgs and chest -77cms For aspirants from Eastern and Western Plain region : height-170cms, weight-50kgs and chest- 77cms Southern region applicants : height -165cms, weight- 50kgs and chest -77cms. For this you need to crack CDS examination,which is conducted by the UPSC twice in a year. Eligibility criteria: The candidate should be complete graduation from any recognised university. The candidate should be a citizen of india. The candidate must be physically fit. Age limits is 19years to 24years. Selection procedure: Written test, Interview, Medical test. Yes off course you can become an Army officer after completing B.Sc in computer science.Actually the minimum qualification that is required to be qualified in order to appear for the various defense services examinations(except NDA(National defense Academy) and the examinations that is required to be qualified in order to be a jawan) is that the candidate must have a graduation degree from a recognized university.So, for directly appearing for CDS, SSC, etc or any other such defense examination, you have to firstly complete your graduation and then you can appear for the same. |

Those candidate are completed graduation are eligible for CDSE exam but 12 standard subject must be Math and Physics. Educational Qualification :: Graduates in any discipline from a recognized university having 60% or more than 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together and have passed 10+2 th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or BE/B.Tech degree from a recognized university having 60% or more than 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together. 3. Physical Standard :: i.) Height : minimum 162.5 cm and more than this ii.) Weight : in between 60 to 80 kg iii.) Vision : minimum visual acuity 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in another eye You can also apply for N.D.A. and C.D.S.(Common Defense Services). There generally two examination are held for N.D.A., one is N.D.A.-1 and another is N.D.A.-2.You can also attempt both this two exam.
