Re: Getting good marks in engineering means good chances of getting a Job? is there any relation between marks and jobs?

No good marks never fetch you a good job but good skills like communication knowledge,Aptitude and General ability may really fetch you a job.

MNC's ask for a minimum of 60% as eligibility criteria but this doesn't mean that they hire students having high percentage with no other skills.

In campus recruitments you really don't find the difference between candidates having high percentage or less percentage because they keep eliminating candidates in every round like aptitude test, group discussions..etc and after that you have to walk in to the personal interview.

So communication skills are must.

all the best

Re: Getting good marks in engineering means good chances of getting a Job? is there any relation between marks and jobs?

There is no relation in getting a good job by having good marks in academics.

Your marks shows your sincerity towards your studies. But for getting a good job you have to be prepare in different aspects.

Good marks only allows you to appear in the recruitment process because company will never hire a dull student. Marks can increase your confidence level. too.
To get a good job you have to prepare everything... Your aptitude , technical knowledge, interviews, company details, etc.

Your self confidence is the main key crack any interview.

so i suggest u to prepare urself properly , study well, make ur base strong,

increase ur basic knowledge it will help u to getting a good job..

yes of course the marks are the big factor for getting good job. since your marks only shows your qualification, and for any campus interview firstly your marks or profile will be viewed then only you get chance to appear in interview in that particular interview.

but not only marks, but you should also have good knowledge about your subject.it is more important for job.
talent is also more important with marks.

with best wishes

Re: Getting good marks in engineering means good chances of getting a Job? is there any relation between marks and jobs?

Good marks in engineering is always an important criteria..!! people with good percentage are always given a priority than others. But along with that u should also be good in your aptitude.......

as u r a comp.science engineer so software companies are the obvious choice!! First phase u need to clear ur written test and for that u should prepare for that and ur engg marks will not help....... nxt group discussion and next u will have technical interview followed by hr interview.......

so....... good marks and percentage are added advantage to ur CV but with good communication skills, good knowledge on ur basics and technical concepts.

You should definitely score good marks when you are doing your engineering course. There are many companies which have a cut off for the same and it is very important to qualify the cut off. Though it is necessary but that is not a deterrent to get a good job. Apart from being strong in academics, you also need to have a good attitude and good communication skills. You need to develop all the these to move ahead in your career.

Re: Getting good marks in engineering means good chances of getting a Job? is there any relation between marks and jobs?

Of course your marks affect your quality and thus increases you r chances of getting a job.Sometimes people top their colleges ,not with good marks and still dont get good jobs whereas if you score good GPAs even if you are not the topper you will definitely get a good jobb. so keep studying nicely and reflect your knowledge in your marks. And one more important thing, while placement with your marks your interview is also important , be confident and prove yourself there.

yes your marks will be of great importance at the time of campus placement because the college will distribute the students according to their marks. And the students having good marks will give interview in good companies and those having low marks will be allowed to give interview in small companies. Also good marks always make positive impression on the interviewer.

Re: Getting good marks in engineering means good chances of getting a Job? is there any relation between marks and jobs?

Dear friend

Yes, academics score is much important, while you are search for job. But, its not means, if you have not scored good marks, then you will not get job. To get a job
you have a talent because in now a days Talent is more important than marks.

Yes, its true that, in now a days most of the companies recruited candidates on the
basis of marks. So, in selection procedure of company you have to score more than
60% marks. If you have scored more than 60% marks, you are eligible to appear in
company recruitment process.

So, academics performance is important but Talent is also important, if you have a good
comunication skill and ablity to do work, then you will definately get a good jobs. But, if
you have scored good marks in engineering and you dont have talent, then you cannot
acheive sucess in your life...............

Re: Getting good marks in engineering means good chances of getting a Job? is there any relation between marks and jobs?

Hello friend,

I appreciate that you are giving best in your semester studies, that is very important element for getting a good job.

Wherever you go, knowledge and concept is must in any field, until and unless you have no knowledge or good grasp over your subject, you can't expect a better job.

With your good semester result, communication skill or soft skills have also got immense importance.
I don't understand, where your confidence lacks!

Just increase your aptitude skills, conversation power day by day. Then at the peak moment, you will see the result. You are just in 3rd year, so don't be tensed from right now.

Carry on with your consistent study and try to develop your concepts in your favorite subjects gradually for campus interviews.

So don't worry, you will get a good job.
All the best!

Re: Getting good marks in engineering means good chances of getting a Job? is there any relation between marks and jobs?

Hello friend,
Good marks might make you eligible to appear for an interview but to get the job, you need something more then that.
The most important quality required to crack an interview is confidence. You must be confident about your expertise knowledge in a particular field. You need to have possitive attitude. You will need to assure the employers that you are capable of performing on their standards.
Before appearing for any interview, you must try to know about the company, as much as possible, you must also know the basic requirements for the particular job and see if you have it in you or not. There will be many candidates with similar academic qualification and marks. You will need to perform well in the interview because just good marks is not enough to make you eligible for a job.
