Re: What is the GATE entrance examination fee for Other Caste(OC)? Dear friend, GATE exam is conducted by IITs to take admission in M.Tec course after B.Tec /B.E. Through GATE you can take admission in all IITs,IISB, and other premier institute in India. GATE 2012 Examination will include both ONLINE and OFFLINE examinations as per the following schedule: Online-29 January 2012 (Sunday) 09:00 Hrs to 12:00 Hrs,14:00 Hrs to 17:00 Hrs Offline-12 February 2012(Sunday) 09:00 Hrs to 12:00 Hrs,14:00 Hrs to 17:00 Hrs Results will be declared on 14 March.[/B] [B]GATE forums can be handed over personally to the respective Zonal GATE Office on or before Monday,24th October, 2011. You can also fill the form online till 17 Oct. The GATE test duration is 3 hours. There are 65 questions with a maximum of 100 marks. Objective type questions are included in the GATE test. So you have to prepare some aptitude question and you have to have deep knowledge of subjects related to your branch in your engineering degree. If you are from civil engg. then MCQ question will be from civil engg. subjects. Hence no need to go out of your syllabus. Eligibility for GATE exam is: 1.You should be a Indian citizen. 2.You should have done his/her degree in any of engg. trade. 3.If you have Master’s degree in any branch of Science / Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final or pre – final year of such programs. 4. You should have min 50% marks in degree.5% relaxation to SC/ST and 3% to OBC. Some of good institute you will get through GATE: 1.Indian Institute of Science Bangalore 2. Indian Institute of Technology Bombay 3. Indian Institute of Technology Delhi 4. Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati 5. Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur 6.Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur 7. Indian Institute of Technology Madras 8. Indian Institute of Technology Roorke The cost of the form Rs.1000. Online form cost is Rs.800 for OBC and general category students. For SC/ST students the cost is half of that. best of lk.. |

For candidates belonging to SC/ST caste or candidates who are physically handicapped the fees is Rs 500. There is no concession for candidates from the OBC category. Applications can be made both online and offline. The last date to apply is 24th October. |

Re: What is the GATE entrance examination fee for Other Caste(OC)? dear friend , here i am giving the important information about the gate exam 2012. 1) online application forms of the GATE exam was started from 12th September 2011. you can submit the GATE application form online. 2) last date of submission of the GATE exam form 17 october 2011. 3) GATE online exam : 29th January 2012 GATE offline exam : 12th February 2012 4) result of the GATE exam 2012 : 15th March 2012. for the details of the online application form and fees to be paid for the exam though DD or chalan kindly visit the website www.gate.iitd.ac.in thanks and best luck |
