Eligibility criteria for GATE: Candidate should have complete graduation degree in engineering/Architecture/statistical GATE exam score valid for 2 years. Important dates for GATE-2012: Opening date of application form is 12th Sep 2011. Closing dates of application form is 17th Oct 2011. Exam will held on 29th Jan 2012. Moreover it gives you a pride of knowing more subject knowledge than those who did not write it. there is no age limit for writing the exam . you can write as many times you wish. GATE score is valid for two years |

Re: Am I eligible for GATE having completed B.Tech 3 years back? dear friend, Yes my friend you are eligible.The GATE score is valid up-to two years.Generraly all the IITs conducted the GATE examination every year.This exam will be held 2nd week of February in 2012 and the result will come out in the mid of March of this year. In which year you passed your bachelor degree that's not matter. all the best. good day. |

Re: Am I eligible for GATE having completed B.Tech 3 years back? Dear friend, To appear in the GATE exam all you need is just a Bachelor Degree in any stream of Engineering/Science/Architecture. It doesn't matter in which year you completed your graduation. The GATE score is valid for two years. There are no such strict rules in case of upper age limit. So, you are very much eligible to appear in the exam. All the very best. |

Those two are the criteria for GATE exam. There are no age limitation and no percentage requirements .So as a pass out student of 2008 you can apply for the exam . Through this exam you can join M.tech /ME in the IITs,NITs and the universities of the state board . The next year GATE exam will be conducted on = 12/2/2012 . Thank you |

There is no such standards set by the Indian Institute of Science and Indian Institute of Technology. As per their standards and the qualification of yours, you are eligible to apply for the exam. Re: Am I eligible for GATE having completed B.Tech 3 years back? hello dear yes. definitely. you are eligiable for GATE having completed B.Tech 3 years back eligibility criteria for gate 2012 is >>Bachelor's degree holders in Engineering/Technology/ Architecture (4 years after 10+2) and those who are in the final year of such programmes. >> Master's degree holders in any branch of Science/Mathematics/ Statistics/Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final year of such programmes. >>Candidates in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master's degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/Technology. >>Candidates in the fourth or higher year of Five-year Integrated Master's degree programme or Dual Degree programme in Engineering/Technology. >>Candidates with qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE (e.g. AMIE by Institute of Engineers (India); AMICE by Institute of Civil Engineers (India)) as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech. Those who have completed section A or equivalent of such professional courses are also eligible. there is no age limit for GATE exam. all the best........ |

GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) Exam is being jointly conducted by Indian Institute of Science and 7 Indinan Institute of Management. You mentioned that you have completed your B.Tech in the year 2008. That will not be a problem for you to appear for GATE Exam. You can apply and appear for upcoming GATE Exam. For the academic year, the GATE Exam is going to be conducted on following dates. -Date of online GATE Exam : 29-01-2012 -Date of offline GATE Exam : 12-02-2012. There will be no age limit to appear for GATE Exam. So, you don't need to worry at all at what ever age you are. In addition, there is also no limit on the number of attempts. You can appear for the GATE Exam as many times as you wanted. But the GATE score is valid for a period of 2 years. As you are holding bachelors degree in engineering with you, you can appear for GATE Exam. Have good preparation prior to the exam, practice as many number of model papers as you can and crack the exam. |
