There were a time when lower caste peoples were suffering from poverty so government of india decided to raise the level of these poors .The idea behind that was the complete development of india .So , our constitution or government started Reservation policy and special relaxation were provided to lower caste people so that they can raise their level easily and can cooperate with general category peoples .Under reservation policy ,the qualifying was reduced in all fields ,Special money or you can say scholarship were provided to them .Taking the help of these , lower caste people raised their living standard and now they are living much more standard life. Reservation is very helpful for lowercaste people so it is now very difficult to abolish or remove reservation from india due to difficult rules and regulation of indian constitution. However i strongly believe that now the lower caste people have got what they wanted so all kind of students should be treated equally and reservation should be removed. |

Re: Why is Indian Government dividing educational institutions as per their religion? its completely wron to reserve All SC ST comes under general category if they obtain more marks and they got seats in general merit, after this the seats vacant by them were also considered for further SC ST, i got 64 marks in exam but i did nt get any seat and SC ST obtained 40 marks and they got seats what is this, General category have no value of their marks fuk this resevation system |

Re: Why is Indian Government dividing educational institutions as per their religion? dear friend, Indian Government divides educational institutions as per their religion This is because India is such a country where so many persons with different languages live.The reservation policy is also extended to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes for representation in the Parliament of India. The central government of India reserves 27% of higher education, and individual states may legislate further reservations. Reservation cannot be exceeded 50%, as per the rulings given by the supreme court, but certain Indian states like Rajasthan have proposed a 68 % reservation which includes a 14% reservation for forward castes. Reservations are intended to increase the social diversity in campuses and workplaces by lowering the entry criteria for certain identifiable groups that are grossly under-represented in proportion to their numbers in the general population. Caste is the most used criteria to identify under-represented groups. However there are other identifiable criteria for under-representation—gender (women are under represented), state of domicile (North Eastern States, as Bihar and Uttar Pradesh are under-represented), rural people, etc. -- as revealed by the Government of India sponsored National Family Health and National Sample surveys. The underlying theory is that the under-representation of the identifiable groups is a legacy of the Indian caste system. After India gained independence, the Constitution of India listed some erstwhile groups as Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST). The framers of the Constitution believed that, due to the caste system, SCs and the STs were historically oppressed and denied respect and equal opportunity in Indian society and were thus under-represented in nation-building activities. good day. |

Re: Why is Indian Government dividing educational institutions as per their religion? when the India get its freedom then the india government decide to raise up the lower cast people, so govt decide to give the reservation for 10 years to these casts, by which these cast would improve there quality of the living and can get the good education. but now all this is increasing day by day and the matter is going on the politics. these people can not pay the fees of the different courses so India govt provide them all the fees refund. by this they can get good education and can improve their life style. so India govt has divide all the education. |

Division on the basis of religion is not the motto of indian government .It is providing relaxation or reservation due to some reason that i am discussing.
