The minimum age of appear in the civil service examinations & PO is 21 year. and the maximum age limit for the GENERAL candidates is 30 years,. But this age criteria is quite flexible for the SC\ST & OBC [non-creamy layer]., there is the max. 5 & 3 years of age relaxations are applicable for the SC\ST & OBC candidates. The civil service examinations like IAS\IPS\IFS\IRS are conducted by UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION.[UPSC]. Educational qualification for both EXAMINATIONS is, a candidate must possess at least graduation degree from a recognized college. No. of attempts for both exams- four for the GENERAL candidates, seven for the OBC candidates, no such restriction for the SC\ST candidates. |

you have a maximum of 4 attempts for general,7 for OBC and there is no limit for SC/ST There are two rounds.. Prelims will test your aptitude,general knowledge and current affairs Mains will test your knowledge of graduation subjects |

Hi There are different criteria for different post and depending upon the organisation for which post the recruit General age limit criteria is 1.For graduate student age limit. 21-30 year and relaxation OBC 3year, ST/SC 5 year 2.For under graduate studebt age limit 18-28 year relaxation OBC 3 year, SC/ST 5 year. good luck |
