Hai friend
Yes,you can do CA course after completing B.Com course and you can directly apply for IPCC exam without appearing for CPT exam. The graduates can join in IPCC directly after completing the B.Com course. After IPCC you can do the final CA course and you will get better job opportunities after completing CA course with 60% and you will get a good job in top companies.
Thank You

It is definitely possible to do Chartered Accountancy after completing graduation no matter which course you picked. You can apply for the Chartered Accountancy course even without appearing for the Common Proficiency Test.

However whether you will have to appear for the Common Proficiency Test or not depends on your performance in the graduation. The ICAI has put a percentage limit which you have to meet. If you have scored the minimum percentage which is required to get exemption then you will not be required to appear for the Common Proficiency Test.

Exemption Eligibility

1. You should score 55 percent marks in Commerce related graduation.

2. Non commerce graduates must have 60 percent marks.

This is the criteria which is required to get exemption from appearing for the Common Proficiency Test. If you are meeting the criteria then go ahead with direct admission for the IPCC, the second stage of Chartered Accountancy.

If you are not meeting the criteria then prepare for the Common Proficiency Test and clear it in order to get admission for the IPCC. You will have to score the minimum of 30 percent marks in each group of Common Proficiency Test to clear it.

There are two groups in Common Proficiency Test. The four subjects in these groups are:-

1. Fundamentals of Accountancy

2. Economics

3. Mercantile Law

4. Quantitative Aptitude

You can follow the Common Proficiency Test with registering for the IPCC. The IPCC is the second stage of CA course followed by Final Course. You will also have to do 3 years articleship along with the IPCC before you can appear for the Final Course.

hello dear , yes you are elligible for ca course,

but one thing very sure if you have passed graduation with minimum 55% in your graduation you can directly join ipcc and articleship after itt

and if you haven't scored above 55 % which is requirement for direct joining to ipcc then you have to get registered for cpt,

there is no age limitation for ca, plz visit icai.org

this is the best and correct process for you,

Yes you can take admission into CA Course after B.Com. Graduation.

If you have passed B.Com with 55% or above marks then you will be eligible for CA IPCC directly without appearing for CPT.

For those who have got less than 55% marks in B.Com will have to apply for CPT and qualify it to become eligible for CA IPCC.

Although for CA CPT any 10+2 candidate can apply with any percentage . There is not percentage limit for 10+2 pass students for CA CPT .

One has to score 50% or above marks in CA CPT then only he/she will be declared qualified. Hence you must get well prepared for the examination.

You haven't mentioned your percentage in B.Com so you can make decision on your own by following above criteria.

CA CPT Subjects:

-Accounting

-Economics

-Mercantile Law

-Quantitative Aptitude

dear friend ,
yes it is possible to do CA after passing B.Com.
there are 3 years B.Com.
and 4 years of CA.

if you do CA after compliting B.Com than total duration wikk be 7 years.

so i suggest you that you can do CA and B.Com both at same time. and it is good.

Re: Is it possible for me to do CA after passing B.Com?

Yes you can join for the CA course. The minimum qualification required for this is 12th standard. Since you have completed graduation you can join the IPCC level directly. No age restrictions are there to join for the course. You can visit the ICAI site for details.
