Indian Engineering Service exam is conducted by upsc every year once.This exam is conducted to intake qualified engineers for Government sector in different departments. Eligibility criteria for Indian Engineering Service exam: Education qualification: Candidate should minimum graduation degree in Engineering from a Mechanical/Civil/Electric Stream. Age limit: Age should be between 21 to 30 years. Indian Engineering Service exam notification for this year: Issue of application form from 25th Feb 2012 to 24th March 2012. Re: Can I apply for IES after passing B.Tech 4th year? Yes,you are eligible for IES EXAM. INDIAN ENGINEERING SERVICE EXAN CONDUCT BY UPSE EVERY YEAR. APPLICATION centreL: main post office in every city you can purchase only pay 30 rs. QUALIFICATION: graduate in any engineering branch or final year student i.e.8th sem also apply for IES exam. age:candidate between 21 to 30 year and age relaxation for ST/SC -5 YEAR OBC- 3 YEAR. best of luck |

You not mention then branch name 1.Educational Qualification b.tech any one of the following branch : Electrical Engineering. Electronics & Communication Engineering. Civil Engineering. Mechanical Engineering. 2. Age Limit = The age must be between 21 to 30 years at the time of appearing of this examination. The age relaxation is also applicable for the candidates belong to reservation category. Computer Science and Information Technology branch are not eligible for the IES examination. |

Eligibility for IES exam:- *The candidate must have complete the graduation in engineering field.. *The candidate should not have any pending backlogs during graduation... *The age should be in between 21-30 years. For SC/ST the upper age relaxation is 5 years and for OBC the upper age relaxation is 3 years. *The candidate have to write the exam on the syllabus of Electronics/Electrical/Mechanical/Civil.. As you have mentioned that you are in final year of B.Tech course, then you can appear in IES exam. so go for it.. All the best.. |

Re: Can I apply for IES after passing B.Tech 4th year? ya IES (Indian engineering services) is the best thing to opt after btech....but its is not for all branches..it is mostly for EEE,ECE,MEC,CIVIL....some branches are not included...its a tough examination.... note: some companies will pay high for the students if the score of this examination is high...core subjects of respective branches should be in finger tips to getthrough the examination successfully...all the best |

Eligibility criteria for IES - Candidate applying for IES should have an engineering degree in Electrical,Mechanical,Electronics,civil from any recognized university .lso candidates having M.Sc degree in Wireless communication ,electronics ,Radio engineering can apply for the exam .Candidate should be not less thant 21 years and not more than 30 years of age as on 1st August 2011.Candidate should be medically and physically fit according to the requirement .Candidate should be a citizen of India . So from the above criteria it is clear that the students of It can't apply for the exam . Thank you |

You need to satisfy the following conditions in order to appear for the entrance exam 1) You should be a B.Tech degree holder or in the final year of the engineering.. 2) You should have done your B.Tech from the following branches.. Details for IES Exam: IES is a entrance exam to get into Indian Engineering Organization which is conducted by UPSC and this exam is being held every year. There are certain eligibility criteria's which has to be satisfied to write the IES exam and they may include: > First of all the candidate must have a citizenship in India. > The candidate need to have a age which is between 21-30 years for General Category. > The candidate need to have a age which is between 21-33 years for OBC Category. > The candidate need to have a age which is between 21-35 years for SC/ST Category. > As regarding the education qualification for the IES exam the candidates need to have completed a Engineering/Technology degree from a recognized university in departments:

Since you are in the final year of your b.tech program, you are eligible to apply for Engineering Service Exam, conducted by Union Public Service Commission. Apart from being an engineer, you must be within the age limit of 21-30 years. The most important thing i must mention is that the examination is conducted in only four disciplines of engineering but as far as eligibility is concerned, an engineer, in any discipline is eligible to appear for the exam. |
