I m a primary teacher on service in Zilla parishad and a graduate. My date of birth is 9-june-1970. My age is 42 can i appear for upsc exams now???

*The candidates should be a graduate , from any discipline & from a recognize university.
*The age limit is - 22 - 30 yrs.
There is a relaxation for sc/ st & obc candidates.

The Civil Services exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) every year.
Following is the eligibility criteria to appear in the exam.:-
1. You should complete your Bachelor Degree from a recognized University.
2. Your age must be within 21-30 years.
There are some relaxations in age for-
OBC Candidates are relaxed upto 3 years.
SC/ST candidates are relaxed upto 5 years.

I will tell you the eligibility criteria that is expected by UPSC authorities which will conduct the Civil service exam,Here is the required eligibility criteria Have a look at it.

->You should have at least 21 years of age.
->You should complete your degree course from a recognized Indian University.

The maximum age limit is 30 years for General candidate.

There is relaxation for reserved category students.

->The OBC Candidates are relaxed upto 3 years after the Maximum age limit.

->The SC/ST candidates are relaxed upto 5 years after the maximum age limit.

OBC candidates can write upto 33 years whereas SC/ST students can write upto 35 years of age.

No you cannot appear for UPSC exams as you have already crossed 33 years of your OBC limit.

Yes, you can appear for UPSC exam , after completion of MCA course..

Eligibility for UPSC exams:-

1.One must have complete the graduation in any trade..
2.One must not have any pending backlogs during graduation..

Age criteria:-

1.The age should be in between 21-30 years..
For SC/ST the upper age relaxation is 5 years and for OBC the upper age relaxation is 3 years..

These are the eligibility criteria you have to fulfill..
As you have complete the MCA course then you are eligible , but your age should not be more than 30 years..

Hello friend,
As per the date of birth you have provided us, you current age is 34 years and for most of the exams conducted by union public service commission, the maximum age limit for candidates belonging to OBC category is 33 years. Therefore, Since this is the maximum age limit to appear for some of the exams, you are not eligible.

Sorry to say that you are not eligible for UPSC exam.

Because you have crossed the age criteria .

Your age now above 33 years in OBC category.

The details of UPSC exam is given below.

Those candiadte have completed graduation in any discipline from recognized university are eligible for UPSC exam.

But your age should be in between 21-30years for general candidate.

In UPSC exam their is provide age relaxation for OBC candiadte is 3years and for SC/ST candiadte is 5 years.

The maximum attempts for Sc/ST candiadte is Unlimited. For OBC candiadte it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.

Also you must be citizen of india.

hello,

union public service commission conducts the exam for IAS/IPS/IFS every
year for which the eligibility criteria is as follows;

-a candidate should be graduate from any recognized university

-an appearing candidate can also apply for the exam

-candidate's age should be between 21-30 in case of general, for OBC
upper age limit is 33 and for SC/ST upper age limit is 35

as you are 34 years old and you crossed the age limit and so you are
not eligible for the exam.....
