Yes, you can appear for the TET exam being having the 49.8 % marks because the eligibility criteria is always on the aggregate basis and the aggregate percentage for the 49.8% is 50% only. therefore, you don’t have to get worry about it, you can appear for the exam

can i teach an aided school without having tet exam?i have 47% mark in bsc and b.ed.i think it can do after joining the school.pls give me right answer...

I have done 10th with 56%, 12th with 54%, B.A. with 49% ,'A' Level from DOEACC with 'c' grade, M.Sc(it) from Punjab Technical University. Can i appear in TET or CTET exam as i have not done B.Ed. or BTC. Please clarify this to me.....

Dear friend,

YES , You are eligible for TET exam because the minimum marks criteria for TET exam is just above 45%.

TET will be a compulsory and essential requirement for securing a teaching job in all types of schools.

You must have a valid degree for B.Ed course.

The certificate can not be more than 7 years old.

There will be 2 papers with objective multiple choice questions. Each paper will consist of 150 questions. These papers are intended for different levels of teaching as described below.

1. Paper I: For those want to become teachers for classes I-V.
2. Paper II: For those want to teach classes between VI and VIII.
3. Paper I and II: Those interested in teaching from Class I to VIII will have to appear and qualify in both the papers.

Age:- There is no upper age limit to apply for Teacher Eligibility Test (TET).

Teacher Eligibility Test for Teachers Recruitment

Minimum Qualifications for Classes I-V:

Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final 2–year Diploma in Elementary Education
OR
Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final 4–year Bachelor of Elementary Education
OR
Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final 2–year Diploma in Education

Minimum Qualifications for Classes VI-VIII:

B.A. /B.Sc and passed or appearing in final 2–year Diploma in Elementary Education
OR
B.A. /B.Sc. with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1–year Bachelor in Education
OR
B.A. /B.Sc. with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1–year Bachelor in Education , in accordance with the NCTE Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
