Re: Requirements for joining Indian Navy? he qualifications for the Indian Navy are as follows:- -> Age limitation --> 19.5 - 25 years. -> Educational qualification --> Graduate or post graduate with Physics , mathematics , electronics with a minimum of 55% marks. -> Eyesight should be 6/6 of both the eyes. -> Minimum should be 157 cm for male and 152 cm for the females. |

Hello, The minimum eligibility to join Indian navy in the nautical science and Marine engineering.the minimum qualification required is 12th standard.You must have pursued the diploma course from a recognised institute.Your age should be between 16 1/2 - 19 1/2.NDA gives you the job which you can not even think of it,Its a good choice to for and work for the Nation . If you are interested in joining Indian Navy then you need to complete your engineering.As you have a diploma in computer engineering it would be better if you go for a lateral entry in engineering and then apply in the Navy. good luck......!!!!! |

Dear there are different qualification for the different differnt posts and there are mainly two catogary technical which is b.tech mainly and other is non technical they are normal graduate students so all the technical dept have the following posts 1.pilot 2.engineer 3.Naval Armament Inspection Cadre and all the engineering dept regarding the age limit for applying in these is IMA 19 to 24 year Naval academy 19 to 23 year SSc flying 19 to 23 year the second dept is non tech in this else all the dept come like education, logistics,accounts etc the age limit for these is IMA 19 to 24 year Navy 21 to 27 year OTA 21 to 26 year SSC non tech 21 to 25 year Law 21 to 27 year best of luck |

NDA- NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY exam conducted by UPSC twice every year as NDA -I and NDA-II for entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wings of NDA. The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian male having either appear for 12th final exam or pass in any discipline from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good physical fitness. You can Join Indian Navy provided you have completed 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The candidate has to over come certain prescribed physical fitness test. How To Join Indian Navy Since you are a B.Com 1st year so you opt to go for either of the two options.. You can either opt to take a shot at the NDA (National Defence Academy) Exam which is conducted twice every year by the UPSC in the months of April and August.. Only those candidates are eligible to appear for the NDA exam who fulfill the following minimum eligibility criteria :- 1) You should be within the age limit of 16.5-19 years as seen on 1st July of the year in which you are appearing for the exam.. 2) You should be a 12th pass out or 12th appearing from a recognized board(with Science stream if you want to join Air Force or Navy) I think this might be your last attempt for the NDA.. the next NDA exam is going to be conducted on 15th april,2012 and the forms for the exam shall be available from 31st December,2011 and the last date for submitting the forms is 30th January,2012.. To apply for NAVY wing , one must have complete the graduation in engineering field. So, you are not eligible for NAVY.. But you can apply for Army wing through CDS exam. Now, you decide what you want to do. All the best. |

Hi dear, you can join Indian Navy. commerce students join Indian Navy after graduation. to join in Indian Navy, you have to appear an qualify UPSC exam. through UPSC exam, you can join in Indian Navy. the criteria to attain in the UPSC exam is minimum graduation in qualification with 55% marks. age limit 21-29 years. As your are 18 years old,you are eligible for this year NDA exam. Last date of submitting application form of NDA exam is 9th May 2011. Exam will be held on 21st Aug 2011.
