I have completed my B.Tech. course through distance mode of educatoin from your Allahabad centre in year Dec 2008 with civil engineering branch.Please explicitly convey about its validity and link for related documents for aforsaid purpose. Some departments of U.P. government did not convince about its validity.Presently, I am emplyee of U.P. government and keenly waiting for your response. |

Re: Is (Distance) B.Tech from RVD UNIVERSITY eligible for UPSC & GATE? hi dear, the GATE eligibilty is given below 1.minimum graduation in engineering. final year & prefinal year btech students are allowed to attain in the gate exam. 2.after msc doing msc. students are also eligibile to attain in the gate exam. there have not any age limit to attain in the gate exam. if your university is UGC or AICT aproved, then you will be eligible for UPSC & GATE. thanks |

Hi dear, For appearing at UPSC and GATE exams,one should be graduated with at least 55% marks from Universities recognized by the UGC and AICTE. If your university is a recognized one under these councils of higher education,then you are surely eligible to appear at the exams like GATE or UPSC exams. Re: Is (Distance) B.Tech from RVD UNIVERSITY eligible for UPSC & GATE? dear friends the approval of joint committee of aicte-ugc-dec is mandatory for all technical or professional courses in distance education mode for govt. services. i have come to know this from UPSC under RTI act. those who have done any degree ( technical and professional) in distance mode is not eligible for UPSC exams if the degree is not approved by this joint committee. Many universities including state, central and deemed universities have started b.tech. or other technical and professional courses without the permission of joint committee which is illegal and misleading. so before joining any under graduate course enquire about its approval from joint committe. if some querry ask me . i can give u many proofs my email id is [email protected] |

According to the eligibility criteria of UPSC you should be graduated in any stream through a recognized university by Govt. of India. So, you are eligible for the exam. thanks |

My basic technical qualification is Diploma in Mechanical Engg. from a govt. polytechnic (3 year course). Now, I wish to enhance my qualification and hence I want to do B.Tech.(Mech) from RVD University.
