It is a central government organization different jobs in railwaysare listed below : 1) Officer Cadre - You can enter through the Engineering Services Examination through UPSC. 2) Section Engineer - Youcan enter through the Examination conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board.Considering Railways, theMechanical Department has a wide scope and there are more number of jobs asked every yearwhen compared to ECE. Finally I conclude that Mechanical Engineers arehaving greater opportunities in Railway. |

They can go for a teaching job in any of the fine institutions or can take up a job. Also, there are chances of you getting into ISRO or DRDO and becoming a scientist and making the country proud. You have to appear for their entrance examination, that takes place every year around different corners in India. Some of the major areas where an ECE engineer is required are: 1. Signal Engineers 2. Re: Job opportunities in Indian Railway after B.Tech. in ECE The UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) and the Central Government conducts the railway recruitment examinations for various posts. for more visit:http://www.upsc.gov.in The examinations are: 1:Special Class Railway Apprentices(SCRA) Examination for that exam: a)you should complete 10+2 and Bachelor degree with Physics and Mathematics or Chemistry and Mathematics with minimum of 50%. b)your age should be between 17 – 21 years . 2:Railway Officers Examination for the post of- Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) Indian Railway Store Service (IRSS) Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE) Indian Railways Accounts Service (IRAS) RPF Sub-Inspectors / Constables etc for that exam you should have bachelor degree with 10+2 level science stream. |

Electronic and communication engineers generally look into the field of signal field in the communication dept of engineering section. And this job you can apply after doing B.TECH in ECE. and you have to get minimum 60% marks in b.tech. all the best........... |

Junior computer operator etc etc. you may go for it. but there competition is very high. you should have a very good knowledge on your subject to get job there. otherwise after some work experience in industry you may try for job in Indian railway. various job opportunities for B.tech students in railway : as a Civil Engineers as a Railway Signal Engineers as a Railway Operators as a Mechanical Engineers as a Electrical engineers my friend maximum jobs in railways are in the hands of b.tech students in machenical specialisation.. they get jobs as a railway engineer, as a machenic, railway signal operator, main traffic and luggage controller..etc.. ..also after the retirement pension assurity is a must from the govt..in railways many jobs are available you can apply for mechanical , electronics, information technology, civil etc post jobs may be applied Yes you have lot of job opportunity in the railway department. First you should take a job in railway department after that you can move in engineering department. This will be very good if you had told us what branch you have in your B.Tech so that we can provide you full details please now post the other question related to your branch. |
