Re: why do penguins feet do not freeze in ice?

Yes Penguins do actually get cold feet, however unlike humans, they are still able to continue functioning due to the way their feet are operated.

The tendons that are attached to their ankle and toe bones pass through the muscles that are in the warmer parts of their bodies. Though their feet may become cold, the muscles that operate them are still at a normal body temperature.

When the external temperature drops significantly, feathers and fat layer of body automatically start to protect the feet, which are not allowed to go below freezing. The Penguins blood flow also automatically adjusts to ensure that this doesn’t happen and the penguin is able to continue functioning.

Dear
This is because, penguins are adapt in the feature of ice.
Here Darwins theory is applicable.
Penguins are able to tip up their feet and rest their weight on the tripod of their heels and tail to reduce contact with the ice. Also their feet are poorly insulated so their feet remain cold and do not melt the ice, which helps them in running and walking also. This is a great creation of GOD....

Re: why do penguins feet do not freeze in ice?

Penguins feet do not freeze in ice because penguins feet has a thick caoting of the fur which prevent them from being freezed , there are many muscles in the bottom of the feet which are kept warm since the hairs and the fur acts as a insulator which keep cold air outside and keep their feet warm.

Re: why do penguins feet do not freeze in ice?

dear friend,

Penguin is a polar animal.
It has capability to adequate itself in cooling temperature.
Its skin is very much resistive from low temperature.
If its skin freeze in cooling temperature then how can it survive.

But my dear friend, this question is nor related to career, if you will ask the question then so many persons can answer it very well.

good luck.

Penguins are able to control the flow of blood to their feet.
A sub-cutaneous (posh way of saying under-the-skin) layer of fat keeps penguins warm. This fat layer also serves as energy.

its full issue of the working of body tempreture concept.
penguins can retain it at such high tempreture too.

Re: why do penguins feet do not freeze in ice?

thats very gud question,,, wat i can say ??
thats all abt nature.. penguins used to set themselves in colder region (in that atmosphere).... tell me i.e why not penguins born in warmer atmosphere ?????

this ia popular theory in physics.
applicaion of surface tension in their feets.

Re: why do penguins feet do not freeze in ice?

the penfuines are designed in such a way so that they can be adapted by suca a cold climate
there skin is very hard and flat spread and well designed to bear the coldness
thats why it is not difficult for them to walk and stay at such places

Re: why do penguins feet do not freeze in ice?

due to their natural condition he is able to walk in ice...
in this universe every body have some good things gifted by god...
and this is the reason penguins feet do not freeze in ice......

due to their natural condition or shape of the body, there do not freeze, their internal as well external structure play a important role.

Re: why do penguins feet do not freeze in ice?

Penguin feet do not freeze because of their body temperature.their blood is warm so they are warm all the time and their body flow also sends blood and body temperature to their feet so their feet stay warm so that helps them to walk on the snow and ice. also the way they walk also helps the feet not to freeze......

Re: why do penguins feet do not freeze in ice?

GOOD QUESTION.....HERE IS YOUR ANSWER....

To stay warm, penguins have a thick layer of feathers which has 24 feathers per square inch. A penguin has a thick, blubbery body that carries the penguin low to the ground so that less cold air can circulate around it. In addition, penguins have nasal passages that minimize heat loss when they exhale.

Hello Friend
Actually Penguins are naturally born in such
atmosphere there bodies get use to it, they are made such by god.
Finding logics in god's creation is a bit difficult task.
