Re: Maximum age limit for appearing for TNPSC exam? TNPSC GroupII Exams is mentioned below: Candidates must have completed graduation from any recognized university. The aspirants must also have completed degree in 10+2+3 pattern. Minimum 18 years of age. The maximum age allowed is 30 years. Age relaxation is provided for reserved categories. 5 years for SC/ST Candidates. 3 years for OBC candidates. 10 years for physically handicapped candidates. |

The maximum age shoud not have completed:- (a) 35 years for SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BC(OBCM)s, BCMs, and Destitute Widows of all castes. (b) 30 years for candidates not belonging to any of the above said categories. (iii) For the post of Assistant Commissioner in TN Commercial Taxes Service : (c) For candidates possessing B.L. Degree of any University or Institution recognised by the University Grants Commission – must be below 36 years in the case of SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BC(OBCM)s, BCMs and Destitute Widows of all castes and 31 years in the case of candidates not belonging to any of the above said categories. |

Note : (i) No Maximum age limit for SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs and BC(Other than BCM)s, BCMs and D.Ws of all Castes. (ii) Age relaxation of 5 years in the maximum age limit will be applicable to persons affected by the ban order, as per the orders issued by the Government. (iii) Candidates not belonging to SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBC/DCs, BC(OBCM)s and BC(M)s (i.e. others) who have put in five years of service in the State / Central Government are not eligible to apply even though they are within the age limit. (iv) The Technical and Non-technical staff of TANSI who are facing retrenchment and have not been absorbed in the Government Corporations / Undertakings may also apply (evidence to be produced), if they satisfy all the prescribed qualifications except age. The relevant age rule will be relaxed by the Government in their favour if they come up for selection. |

Dear pal, TNPSC is the tamilnadu public service commission which conducts exam under 4 groups for various post namely deputy collector, deputy superintent of police, assistant commissioner and many other post the admission is based on the group exam . The eligibility for the exam includes bachelor degree from a recognised university. The aspirant is eligible to apply if his age is less than 30 for general category,33 for bc and 35 for SC/ST candidates. Final year graduates are also eligible for the exam. The selection procedure for the exam includes written exam followed by personnel interview. The written exam includes aptitude test followed by the main exam. All the best |

Re: Maximum age limit for appearing for TNPSC exam? TNPSC-tamilnadu public service commision,it is the exam conducted by Tamilnadu government.. There are four groups in this exam they are group 1,2,3and 4,that is higher position to lower position. BE,MSC , etc...comes under group 1 and next level positions go for other 3 groups. TNPSC conducts many exam and similarly age limit depends on same e,g TNPSC CSSE I age limit is 35 and no limit for reserved category and for Public Health age limit is 21 to 30.. For further notification just update with www.tnpsc.gov.in !!! |

As far as upper age limit is concerned a relaxation of five years is applicable to certain group of people like unemployed youth and people belonging to the Government service. Candidates belonging to other castes (i.e.) other than SC, ST, BC and MBC, who have five years of experience in the Central/State Government services are not eligible to apply for TNPSC examination, even though they are between the age group of 18 and 30. |
