Re: How to study for IIT JEE? Should I only solve difficult problems? Hi friend. -any competative exam needs your hardwork and preparation beyond anything else.it is not mandatory to join a coaching centre. But you will be wrong if you think that you can crack the exams like iit in the last few months of preparation.it requires years of preparations.. So you must prepare from right now. -if you have the determination to crack jee, then by studying regular books for pcm you can surely crack it..so self study is must whether you join coaching institute or not.. -try to practice more and build up your concepts follow these books for pcm .these shall be very useful to you. Maths: R.d.sharma (for theory and practice) and purushottem kumar-objective (it must be for practice) * physical chemistry: Bharti bhavan publications * organic chemistry: Ncert (must) * inorganic chemistry: Ncert (must) (you need nothing else for preparing this part) * note: Prefer mtg publication monthly magazine also &if are taking coaching from somewhere, then prefer that notes also. * physics: H.c.verma (part 1 & 2 both)(for theory as well as practice) beyond all these , strenthen your concepts from ncert books. All the best |

Re: How to study for IIT JEE? Should I only solve difficult problems? Quote:
for cracking iit jee exam, not only hard work is required but strategy is also required for preparation. you must first study from ncert books to clear your concept. after that i will suggest you to study from tata mcgraw hills for maths d c pandey for physics arihant for chemistry you must also for once try to solve all the previous years question papers to get the knowledge of pattern and difficulty level of the exam. while solving the sample papers, never see the solution directly. first try to solve the questions by yourself two to three times. if then also you fail, then see the solution. you must remember these tips to get good result. good luck. |

Re: How to study for IIT JEE? Should I only solve difficult problems? Dear friend you can't solve only tough questions ... please understand easier question are concept builders on which you can solve tougher ones.get the various concepts in each of the subjects right then proceed to questions.First learn your subjects I would suggest you to take Individual tuitions from the from the best teachers since you wont get such good teachers at any one place. But you must supplement yourself with a lot of self study... anyhow manage >6 hours perday...just taking note wont suffice, you can get note from somebody, but only you cab study and write for yourself in the exam And since nowadays IIT's ask objective questions.. dont waste your time after Irodov etc. Follow these books first read the chapters and then goto questions Arihant,D.C.Pandey(physics) also H.C.verma(do it 1st then arihant) Arihant(organic/inorganic) also Morison Boyd(refer and learn interesting concepts) RCM (Physical Chemistry) Maths:: Arihant,TMH And at last self study/practice and Take mocks and analyze them. wishes diego IIT'07 |

Re: How to study for IIT JEE? Should I only solve difficult problems? To crack the IIT JEE exam basically you need to first get the various concepts in each of the subjects right. There after you should try solving the previous years papers. For the areas where the are unable to answer you need to back the basic in those areas. It is would better if you first solve the areas where you are confident. Then if time permit you could try solving the others. You need to be careful as there is negative answer. |
