Eligibility Criteria for GATE 2012 Examination is: Students pursuing Bachelor's in Engineering/Technology/ Architecture or Master's in any branch of Science/Mathematics/ Statistics/Computer Applications or students in the final year of above mentioned course. Note: Students in their pre-final year are not eligible for GATE 2012 Examination. Good luck for GATE 2013!! |

GATE stands for Graduation Aptitude Test for Engineering. -it is conducted every year for taking admission in M.TECH. - you can apply in final year. - GATE score only valid for 1 year. - There is no limit in how many years to complete engineering. - there is no cut off in percentage to apply for the gate exam - there is no age limit for applying for gate exam . - though gate exam you get admission in IIT AND NIT COLLEGES AND SEVERAL OTHER COLLEGES . - to take admission in IIT OR NIT COLLEGES you need to score above 99 percentile . - to clear gate exam you should have good knowledge of your subjects . - join a gate forum for good preparation . From 2012 pre-final year student can not apply for the GATE EXAM ,only final year student can apply for it. plz find attachment for bank details All the best.. |

Re: Which banks are selling GATE application forms? dear friend, Every year one of the IIT among all IITs organized the GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test Examination) exam like previous year it was organized by Indian Institute of Technology,Madras. Generally the notification comes on last week of August or first week of September. Last date of submission was last week of December. The examination is held 2nd week of February every year and the result comes out after one month i.e. 2nd week of March. In general SBI (State Bank of India) sells the GATE forms in different states in different centers. Re: Which banks are selling GATE application forms? For smooth functioning of issuing and easy accessibility of the application forms, IIT's have divided the country into 8 zones. Kakinada comes under IIT Kharagpur zone. In this zone Canara Bank is handling the issuing of the application form. The cost of the form is Rs 1000/-. The last date of receiving the filled application form is 2nd November. |

Dear Friend, The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national level examination which is generally organized by eight zones i.e., One Indian Institute of Science(IISc),Bangalore and the Seven IITs(Bombay,Kharagpur,Kanpur,Guahati,Roorkee,Madra s,Delhi). In this year 2011,the GATE 2011 is organized by Indian Institute of Technology,Madras According to the Eligibility of the GATE: You should have 1:a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology or Architecture or Pharmacy after 10+2. 2:a Master degree holders in any branch of Science like Physics,Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Applications etc.... or 3:You can also apply if you are in the final or pre-final year examination of the Master Degree.
