UPSC (Union Public Service Commission)

UPSC conducts different examinations every year so that candidates can choose their field according to their choices like NDA (National Defence Academy), CDS ( Combined Defence Services),IAS, IPS, Civil Services, SRCA (Special Class Railway Apprentice).

To apply for UPSC conducted examinations, you must have to be fit in the following eligibility criteria :
Educational Qualification:
You must be graduated in any stream or any equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

Age Limitation :
Your age must be in between 21 years to 30 years and for NDA, your age must be in between 16 & 1/2 to 19 years and also for SRCA - 17 to 21 years

Age Relaxation :
These are the following age relaxation below:
ST/SC : 5 years
OBC : 3 years


Physical Standards :
You must be physically as well as medically fit according to the required physical requirements in the selected field

Maximum Attempts Allowed :
For General category : maximum 4 attempts
For OBS category : maximum 7 attempts
For ST/SC category : no limit

Eligibility For UPSC Examination:

1: you must hold a degree of any of recognized Universities.

Age:you should be age of 21 years and must not more than age of 30 years on 1st August, 2011


Exam Process:There are two stages of the examination.

Stage I:The Preliminary Examination of objective type for the selection of candidates for the Main Examination; and

Stage II:The Main Examination is of Written test and then Personal Interview for the final selection of candidates for the various posts.

The main exam is yet to be held in October or November, 2011.
FEE :

(a) Candidates applying Online are required to pay Rs.50/- in any Branch of SBI by Cash or by Visa or Master Credit or Debit Card.

DETAILS ABOUT CIVIL SERVICE EXAM

Civil service exam exam conducted by UPSC.There is no marks criteria.Only graduate are applicable for you.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:

Candidate should have minimum graduation degree with any discipline from a recognized university.

AGE CRITERIA:

For General category candidate,age should be between 21 to 27 years
For OBC category candidates age should be between 21 to 30 years
For SC/ST category candidates age should be between 21 to 35 years.

NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS:

4 attempts for General category candidates
7 attempts for OBC category candidates
Unlimited attempts for sc/st category candidates

I am assuming that you are talking about the UPSC Civil Service Exams..



According to the UPSC guidelines..a candidate must satisfy the following criterion to appear for the Civil Service Exam :-

1) You need to be a graduate or a final year graduation student in any stream from an AICTE or UGC recognized University..

2) You should be in the age limit of 21-30 years for general category,21-33 years for OBC and 21-35 years for SC/ST

The maximum number of attempts allowed for the general category is 4,for OBC it is 7 and for SC/ST there is no limit..

Hello friend,
Since Union Public Service Examination conducts various examinations, the age limit for few of them are as follows:

Civil service Examination- 21-30 years for general category.
Engineering Service Examination- 21-30 years for general category.

Combined Defense Service exam:
Indian Military Academy- 19-24 years
Naval Academy- 19-22 years
Air Force Academy- 19- 23 years.

NDA exam- 16 1/2 years- 19 years

as u had asked upsc exam but u had not mention the exam name.and upsc carrying number of exam through out the year.for csat age limit is 21 to 30 for general candidate.
