Eligibility For Indian Military Academy

In order to join the Indian Military Academy..you need to appear for the CDS (Combined Defence Services) Exam..

For appearing in this exam..you need to be at least a graduate..

Eligibility Criteria :-

1) You should be within the age limit 19-24 years

2) You should be a graduate or a final year graduation student in any stream..

Exam Pattern :-

The written exam mainly tests you in the following areas :-
English
Basic Maths
General Knowledge

Each of the sections carry 100 marks each with objective type questions..

You need to first clear the written exam..then the interview and then the medical examination..

The next CDS exam will be held in February for which the forms are already out..

You can join Indian Army after passing 3rd year of engineering under UNIVERSITY ENTRY SCHEME(U.E.S)

Total 60 Vacancies Per Course

ELIGIBILITY OF U.E.S:-
Age between:- 19 and 25 yrs
Qualification:- Pre Final year students of Engineering Degree Course
Marital Status:-Un Married

Pre-Final year Graduate students are not eligible for Indian Military Service.To join in Indian Military,you should be in Final year/completed the course.

when you reach final year you can join Indian Military by appearing CDS exam.CDS stands for Combined Defense Service exam,this exam is held twice in year and exam is conducted by UPSC.

Eligibility for CDS examination:
Educational Qualifications:
For IMA /OTA : A degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
For Naval Academy: B.Sc. with Physics and/or Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering.
For Air Force Academy: B.Sc. of a recognized University or equivalent with Physics and/or Mathematics as subjects or Bachelor of Engineering.

Age:
For IMA: Unmarried male candidates between 19-24 years
For Naval Academy: Unmarried male candidates between 19-22 years
For Air Force Academy: Unmarried male candidates between 19-23 years
For Officers Training Academy: Male candidates (married or unmarried) between 19-25 years

Yes you are eligible for the India Military Academy After completion of your B.E or Degree and also degree final year students are also eligible to apply for the CDS.

The minimum requirement for the IMA is:
The age between 19 to 24.
should be a graduate from the recognized university.

The application date for the CDS exam was already announced in the official websites.The start of the application to fill is:28/Nov/2011
And the exam will be held on:12/Feb/2012

According to the Eligibility Criteria:

you must have any degree from any recognized University.

Age Limit: 19-24 Years

The Examination Date:13.02.2012

The Last Date of Application:25.10.2011

Second Examination of 2012:

The Date of exam: 18.09.2012

The Date of Notification: 30.04.2012

TheLast date of Applications:30.05.2012

They select the students through the

i) Written Test

ii)Intelligence & Personality test

iii)Medical test.

Exam Pattern

i) Written Test

All the three papers are of objective type containing the English,General Knowledge,Elementary Mathematics

total 300 marks,each paper 100 marks.

Now you are not eligible to apply for this examination.Because those who are completed or pursing in the final year of degree course can only eligible to apply for this examination.

To Join Indian Military Academy,the candidate have to completed degree from a recognized university or equivalent qualification.

C.D.S i.e Combined Defence Service Examination and this examination was conducted by upsc twice in a year.

Graduation in any desire subject from a recognized university.
Age should have a 19 years to 24 years.

Yes, You are Eligible to Join IMA After completing Your Graduate degree course OR When you are Pursuing your Final Year Degree course.

If your aim is to Join Indian Military Academy (IMA), Then for this you have to apply for CDS Examination.
