Yes you can do your CA without B.com. But its always good to do B.com as the combination would fetch you great career opportunities.Beside for doing MBA you need graduation degree.

Re: Should I do CA after doing 12th or after doing B.Com?

It depends completely on you that which way sounds convenient to you.
Commerce graduate with more than 50% marks are exempted from CPT.
Then can directly apply for IPCC.

Benefit of doing CA just after 12th.
If you step-in into the CA course just after 12th, you will be saving at least one year
and also the pace to complete the course will be more if you start from CPT rather
than from IPCC.

If you have already taken admission in B.Com.
Then you should better complete it
and start preparing for IPCC from 2nd year onward.
If you start preparation of CPT before 12th and qualify it just after 12th then you
can save some time. But in your case, CA after graduation is OK.

You can try to clear CA after 10+2. It's good if you clear it then else you can also gain experience and practice so that you can write it again after finishing BCom. But it's better to do it after BCom so that you hav an additional degree with you... good luck!

Joining CA after 10+2 will give you extra pressure and not doing graduation will ruin your future. so be sure first to complete your degree then look for CA.
or in the last year of your graduation you can join CA and that will help you to complete your CA easily.
