it depends on which subject you have more interest. the opportunity and scope of biotechnology in chemistry is more than the biotechnology in physics. but competition is very high in biotechnology in chemistry. as chemistry have so many aspects like research scholar and other physics also not so much behind of chemistry.

as many other hav replied sayin bio-chemistry is da field of choice that shud be made..but as known, physics is an amazin subject, physics if combined wid us nd our environment, we can save the world sooner.....so if we are able to marvel at biotech-physics we wil b able to achieve wonderous discoveries...scope of biotech-chemistry is jus in findin vaccines and medicines and not above that...bring in innovation...

biotechnology is a wide field choose according to your interest biotechnology chemistry deals with the pharmaceutical plants formation of medicines drug designing etc whereas genetics deals with the rDNA technology, fingerprinting, human genome project which in my view is very interesting
