There are basically two ways to join Indian Army as an Officer after 12th. through NDA and CDS entrance exam. conducted by UPSC twicw every year.There are no criteria of percentage of marks required to apply for NDA or CDS. you have to succeed these exams with good rank in order to join Indian Army.

NDA - NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY exam is for entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA.

The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian male having completed 12th in any stream from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good Physical Fitness.

CDS -COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE exam is for entry in to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy of CDS.

The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian National having completed Graduation in any stream from a recognised University within the age od 19 to 24 years with good Physical Fitness, is eligible to apply for Indian Military Academy of CDS.

For both the cases the selection is through written exam followed by SSB Interview along with Physical Fitness and Medical Test.

Hi

If you wish to join the Indian Army, then you have to sit for the NDA examination which is organized and conducted by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) every year in the month of April.

NDA - National Defense Academy.

The Basic Requirements to sit for the NDA examination are :-

1. You should be an Unmarried Male India Citizen.

2. You should be minimum 12th pass in any stream to join the Army. However you must be from Science Background if you wish to join the Air Force or Navy.

3. There is no minimum percentage requirement. So you can always sit for the exam if you are clear pass in all the subjects in your 12th boards.

4. Your age should be within 16.5 to 19 years as in the year of applying.

5. You should be physically fit.

So as you fulfill all the above criteria's then you are surely eligible to sit for the NDA exam.

Thus once you can clear it, you can get into the India Army.

This year the exam would be held on 15th April 2012. But since the last date for submission of the forms are over, you can no longer apply this year.

Hi, after graduation you can apply for Indian army till you are 25 years of age(while joining).

After class 12th NDA is the exam to go for and there is no requirement of any marks, you must be pass.

After graduation, its CDS exam till the age of 25

Hi, No sadly you have exceeded the age barrier, maximum age allowed is 25 at the time of joining the Forces. Education wise you are eligible, but the age factor wont let you join.

Hi, friend yes you can surely join the Forces and be proud of yourself.

To join as a soldier in army, airforce,crpf,bsf etc- you must be intermediate pass, for certain entries in air force and navy you need 50% in PCM.
But for regular soldier entry in army,crpf,bsf etc. all you need is intermediate pass.

so if you are fit physically, start preparing.

yess you are eligible for bsf ,army ,crpf,navy.

but every field have own age criteria.

if you fulfill the age criteria then you are eligible.

you can join Indian army, BSF, CRPF,Navy . for this you can give The NDA exam after intermediate. other wise there other direct entry in Indian army after 10+2. you can check the employment news for more details.

hi friend,

I dont know exactly about intermediate exam , however if it is 10th then everyone would suggest you to do atleast 12th class because most of the golden opportunities start from 12th class and one more thing , since you have got less marks in 10th so you have to prepare better for 12th class so that you will be eligible for most of the defence future exams.

yes you can apply for Indian Army if you have scored 53.6% in intermediate its because the eligibility criteria is 50% and you have scored that.so dont waste your time and start preparing and apply for the enterances in Indian Army

yes, you can join army, CISF, CRPF etc as a soldier.

you can participate in selection drive for soldiers in army, CISF, CRPF , ITBP,SSB etc.

u have passed ur intermediate with 53.6% marks ,it is enough to join in Indian army..

because they want only 50% marks..

so u can join in Indian army.but i think u will not get good post in Indian army..

for getting good post in Indian army u have to do graduation with good percentage of marks...

It depends upon cadre to cadre ,you are eligible but not for all the posts of Indian Army...

For getting good posts you must have secure atleast 60% marks as in PCM in the +2 level....

you can apply for CDS exams and get recruitment in defense forces, but as far as the question of BSF, CRPF is concerned you can get entry in them but not as a class-I officer but as a non-commissioned officer.

yes you are eligible for all these exams because the minimum percentage of marks required in intermediate is 50%. And the best of these exams will be nda. But you to prepare well for the exam because the exam is very tough.

so don't worry,and yet many companies there.
write NDA.
and many sites are there which are BSF,CRPF.

Ya you can join the army for any post.
For higher post need to appear for NDA or be a graduate.
For others like soldier only 12 needed.

ofcourse you can join ..just fill the forms for nda .it takes place twice in a year...u can give it uptil u bcome 19...read employment news regularly....u can join army after graduation also...by university entry scheme.

yes you can join indian army in various posts which require 50% of marks
there are several posts which need minimum 55% of marks in that you cant apply
but if you come under some reserved section then you can apply in that also

i think you are eligible for army, some army take but some are require 55% above mark. so i think you can apply for army post.
