CSIR conducts their examination in following subjects:
1. Chemical Sciences,
2. Earth Atmospheric Ocean and Planetary Sciences
3. Life Sciences
4. Mathematical Sciences
5. Physical Sciences

M.Sc. or Equivalent degree under the subjects mentioned above, with minimum 55% marks for General & OBC candidates; 50% for SC/ST candidates are eligible.
As your degree lies under life science category, you are eligilble for that.

Age Eligiblity Creteria -


For Junior Research fellowship – You must be between 19 –28 years of age.

For Lectureship – There is no upper age limit. You should be at least 19 years of age.


You should have masters degree to apply for NET exam.

note the following-

NET 2010 Educational Qualification

M.Sc. or Equivalent degree under the subjects 1.

Chemical Sciences

Mathematical Sciences
5.

Physical Sciences,
with minimum 55% marks for General & OBC candidates; 50% for SC/ST candidates, Physically and Visually Handicapped candidates and Ph.D. degree holders who had passed Master's degree prior to 19th September 1991.

A candidate can also apply for the Test under RA (Result Awaited) category, if he/she is appearing or has appeared in his/her final year (III/IV Semester where Semester system is there) of M.Sc.
OR
equivalent Degree Examination in subjects mentioned in para 2.1 above during the academic Session 2010-2011. 2.3 CSIR NET 2010 Age Limit & Relaxation

For JRF (NET): Minimum 19 Years and maximum 28 years as on 01-07-2010 (upper age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years as in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC, Physically handicapped/Visually handicapped and female applicants).

Yes, surely you are eligible for net exams if you have 55% in your PG. If you would have done PGDBM you could not go for net exams . But since you have MBA your are eligible for the exam.

Hi, I am not very sure that you are eligible. I believe you come under physical or life sciences. If so, then you are eligible. But, it is better you check with a more reliable source. It is better if you check with its official website or contact them directly.

To appear for CSIR NET the thing which is required is only PG. with 55% marks in the respective subject. SO as you are PG you definitely can go for it. But you have to select the subjects only from the list mentioned and have to appear in the exam.

candidate should have at least 55% marks in MSc. or an equivalent examination. Those in the final year can also apply but will have to submit provisional certificate at the time of counseling.for getting the syllabust visits the websites www.csirhrdg.res.in
