Re: IAS exam after Btech in IT?

HI

B.Tech in IT or B.Tech in any fields are all equal for appearing for IAS

As per the eligibility for appearing for IAS

You need to be citizen of India
you should be graduate
You should have done your graduation from recognized college or institute
you age should be 21-30
Relaxation of 5 year for SC/ST and 3 year for OBC

I would advice you to join any good coaching class and work hard for next one year

IAS has three level of exams

- Preliminary exam
- mains exam
- Interview

All the exams/stages are eliminating stage. for reaching to next level you need to qualify the previous one.

All the best

Dear Aspirant,

Yes you can appear for the IAS exam but actually it is not IAS exam.It is called as the CIVILs Exam.

The exam is conducted by the UPSC Board of India.

By which the candidates get the job in the govt sector.

But you need to have a graduation if you want to become a IAS or IPS officer.

So since you are in the final semester. You can apply for it.But only thing is you need to provide them the degree certificate when the necessary situation is occurred.

The certificate is needed in the interview round so this round comes after the clearing of rounds like Prelims and Main exams.

Then its compulsory to submit the certificate. If you fail to submit then you are rejected.

So think while you apply for the Civils exams.

Hope this info helps you.

All the best for your future endeavor's.

its best to learn the tricks of the trade that may help you survive in this competitive world.. You have two options.. either look for some offline coaching or go online. I personally prefer online course 'coz a) you get the best deal i.e. the teacher at your doorstep b) saves your precious time c) proves economical d) interactive session with 1-1 personal connection

Re: IAS exam after Btech in IT?

Yes. You are eligible to be placed in IAS after completion of B.Com course with 52% of marks.

IAS is the top most civil service in India which will recruit the candidates who are having intelligence.

So, it is very difficult to be placed in IAS. But nothing is impossible. You have the chance to be placed in IAS if you put your best efforts towards preparing for this exam with proper planning.

To be placed in IAS, you should have to crack civil services examination being conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) every year.

The complete selection procedure for this is by
-Civil Services Aptitude Test
-Civil Services Main Examination
-Interview

The minimum academic qualification that is required for the candidate to take this exam is by completion of Graduation with any of the stream.

As per this criteria, you are eligible to apply for this exam.

As per required age criteria,
-You should be in the age group of 21-30 years to be eligible for this Exam.
-Relaxation is there in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category and upto 5 years for the candidates of SC/ST category.

For this year, the civil services examination was already conducted.

So, I suggest you to have good preparation for this exam for this year and appear for upcoming CSAT Exam.

Take proper care while choosing Optional subjects.

Prepare well for this exam and crack it.

For any information regarding this exam, you can visit
http://upsc.gov.in/

HI!

Surely, you can apply for IAS exam in future.

Though the minimum educational qualification required for appearing in IAS exam is that the candidate should hold a bachelors degree with 60% marks but final year students can also apply subject to obtaining degree within the prescribed time.

If you are confident of yourself then you can crack IAS exam by self study otherwise you can take help of coaching institutes.
