Re: What are the companies expecting after completing B.Tech? Any specialization in machines, Power System? From which sections questions will be asked in interview/written test depends on the requirement of company to great extent. Suppose, You are Mechanical Engineer and you appear interview of ----A Steel Company; You will be asked basically about Steel rolling, melting shop, manufacturing process and pumps. ----A Power Plant Company In this case questions will be asked from power generation, turbine, recent changes in Indian Scenario, Electric Machines, Gear Boxes, PLC etc. If you have done some significant project during your B.Tech. then you can expect questions from that project too. e.g., What was the main outcomes?, What difficulties did you face in completion of project?, What are the future prospects of it if further research is carried out? Therefore type of questions depends of you too. (Your CV, Project, Extra-curricular Activities etc.) |

Anyway I will provide you the basic information .. See, whenever you are going for an interview of some core company, then you must have a clear concept in your technical subjects.. At least you must have basic concept.. Because during the interview they will ask you questions from basic.. So, make your base strong first... One thing is very important to crack a interview.. That if you have done any project during you B.tech course,and you mention that in your CV then you must be prepared to answer those question which they will ask you from your project.. So, you must have a clear concept in your project... These are the expectation of a interviewer.. They take it as a grant that you have the basic knowledge, and whatever project you have done , you have a clear concept on that.. All the best.. |

Companies for Machines oriented: Tata Motors Steel Company Mahindra & Mahindra Honda Maruthi Suzuki Companies for Power system oriented: Sony BPL Philips LG Samsung For different subject different companies are there,so choose accordingly. |

Any specialization in machines, Power System? hi dear after complete your degree engineering in any core branch like Electrical Electronics then you go for core company like NTPC NALCO JINDAL SAIL BHEL NAVACROME CROMPTON Rungata GE all are very good company for core student also............ Electronics company like:- ISRO DRDO BSNL NOKIA SAMSUNG MOTOROLLA etc. |

Dear Friend As you are a Graduate (B.Tech.), so no one will be expecting you to be expert of some particular specialization. From which sections questions will be asked in interview/written test depends on the requirement of company to great extent. (Your CV, Project, Extra-curricular Activities etc.) I would not suggest you to prepare some particular topic for interview etc. You should better revise all the core subjects of your B.Tech. stream so that you can make yourself comfortable in the interview of any company, operating in any field. Remember, generally no none asks questions out of your limit i.e.(B.Tech.) If accidentally you are asked such a question about which you don't know anything at all then state clearly that you don't know. |
