hii

Difference between WAN and LAN
LAN & WAN are actually different forms of networking or connecting no. of computers at the same time this is needed so as to improve the data accessibility to enhance the performance of an office etc.
now, LAN is local area network that means it is for smaller area ,in which the no. of computers are to be connected it implies of intranet
whereas, WAN is wide area network which means it is for a larger area .
it implies of internet
now the basic and the most significant difference between is of their topology, that is the design in which those computers are to be connected
as well as both of them use same kind of components & devices

good luck

Dear friend,
LAN AND WAN are two different type of network tropology...
LAN means Local Area Network, which is used for small office, school, library by cable connection,i.e called intranet

WAN is a wide area network, which is used in all over the world...
i.e called internet...

hello friend

LAN (Local Area Network)

WAN(Wide Area Network)

these networks are used in different environments

like for take example of college

in college labs we use LAN so that all our systems will be connected interanally

coming to WAN which is abbreviated as wide area network

mainly like local servers which is on the principle they will work

it depends on the no. of connections of computers too

all the best

A local area network(LAN) exists in a house or a university campus, while a wide area netwrk(WAN) exists over many office building separated bt a vast distance. the office building in a WAN may be n different countried of even continents. for example , the headquarters building may be in in USA, the regional office building may be in UK , and the branch office building may be in INDIA. The workers in the three buildings use WAN to collaborate with each other. The internet can also be considered as a WAN.

for more details please see the file that i had attached.
