Re: GPAT books which have study material covering whole syllabus and question papers hi Dear Friend, Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test(GPAT) is one of the national level examination for the Pharmacy student. It is generally conducted by the National Monitoring Committee, All India Council for Technical Education(AICTE). So,it is little more tough exam. According to the syllabus of the examination: 1:Natural Products 2:Pharmacology 3:Medicinal Chemistry 4:Pharmaceutics 5:Pharmaceutical Jurisprudence 6:Pharmaceutical Analysis 7:Biochemistry 8:Microbiology 9:Clinical Pharmacy So,for this huge syllabus I will say you to study properly the subject properly then you will go for previous year papers or any other study materials. you should keep in mind about the Exam pattern there will be 100 questions of objective type. for each correct answer you will be awarded by one mark and 1/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. So study properly there are some Reference Books as follows: 1. Instrumental methods of Chemical Analysis by B. K. Sarma 2. Spectroscopy by Silverstein 3. Text Book of Pharmaceutical Analysis by K. A. Connors 4. Microbiology by Pelzar 5. Industrial microbiology by Cascida 6. Industrial microbiology by Prescott & Dunn 7. Text Book of Pharmacognosy by C. K. Kokate 8. for preparation in GPAT exam, ganerally you have to follow these following subject- 1. pharmaceutics, 2. medicinal chemistry, 3. pharmacology, 4. jurisprudance, 5. bio chemistry. follow your text book thoroughly, other wise i want to suggest a book PIUISH GUIDE , which cover all over the subject and their related question. this book will be easily available in any book deport. all the best> |

for preparation of Gpat, PYUSH GUIDE is better for you, it include all syllabus , study matter etc. it is available in all type of large book deport. read carefully this book everyday and much practice may perfect you. Best of luck. |

Eligibility Criteria for GPAT :- You must hold Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2) or appear in the Final year examination of B. Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2) in the current year only are eligible for appearing for GPAT examination. GPAT exam pattern :- Examination will consist of a single paper of 3 hours duration containing 100 questions carrying a maximum of 100 marks. The question paper will consist of only multiple choice objective-type questions each with four choices for the answer. You will have to mark the correct choice on an Optical Response Sheet (ORS) by darkening the appropriate bubble against each question. Negative Marks :- There will be negative marking for each wrong answer that is 1/3 (one-third) mark will be deducted.For your best preparation the following books you can take a referance :- A) GPAT Books for Pharmaceutical Analysis: 1.
