Dear friend,

Sorry to say that final year B.Sc student are not eligible for GATE exam.

The eligibility criteria for GATE exam:-

(a) Bachelor’s degree holders in Engineering/Technology or its equivalent.

(b) Bachelor’s degree holders in Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science/Electronics/ followed by qualifications obtained through an examination conducted by professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE.

(c) Bachelor’s degree holders in Architecture/Design (for M Des program only)

(d) Master’s degree holders in Physics with Electronics/Instrumentation (for M Tech programs).

NOTE:-

From this year only final year student are eligible.

3rd year student are not eligible for GATE exam.

GATE score us valid for 2 years.

There is no age criteria.

dear friend,
No, my friend you will not be eligible for GATE exam after B.Sc course..

Eligibility for GATE exam:-

1.Candidate have to complete the graduation in the fields like- BE/B.tech/B.Arch.
or,
Candidate have to complete the post graduation in fields like- M.Sc/MBA/MCA ..

2.Candidate can appear in GATE exam during the final year of graduation or post graduation course.

3.GATE score is valid upto 2 years.

4.No such number of attempts restriction.

As you have done B.sc then wright now you are not eligible for GATE exam.
You go for M.Sc course after which you can appear in GATE exam.

Eligibility Criteria for this examination :-
  1. Applicant's who are completed engineering/technology/architecture from a recognized University or equivalent qualification.
  2. Applicant's who are completed engineering/technology/architecture(Post-B.Sc/Post-diploma) from a recognized University or equivalent qualification.
  3. Applicant's who are completed post graduate degree in science/mathematics/computer science/statistics from a recognized University or equivalent qualification.
  4. Applicant's who are appearing in the final year of degree course can also apply for this examination.
  5. Pre-final year of degree course can not eligible to apply for this examination.
