Important Dates : Start Date for Applications – 21 January, 2013 Last Date for Receipt of Application form – 20 February, 2013 Physical Requirement : (1) For Men - Height – 167.6 cm Chest – 86.3 with expansion of 5 cm (2) For Women - Height – 152.5 cm Weight – 40 kgs |

Re: Height required for police in AP for SC caste? Hello, As per the UPSC rule the physical fitness is most important for becoming police. The minimum height requirement is 150cm to 165 cm. The chest should be around 75 cm and 5 cm more after expansion. You have to clear the written tests and then the personal interview. If you clear all these then you can become a police. Re: Height required for police in AP for SC caste? Hello friend, THE upsc rules ARE general height for a IPS candidate should be minimum of 150 cm and it ranging to 165 cms. The fitness of a candidate is must for the IPS selection criteria. For IPS selection, there are many rounds are there first you have to clear the written test which is very tough as compared to the other exams. Then they took fitness test by chest expansion, the chest must be more than 75cms, 5cms after expansion. After all finally they took personal interview. So fitness is very crucial round for the selection in IPS. ALL THE BEST.... |
