As such there is no set syllabus for the CAT exam..but as seen from the paper pattern in the recent years..the CAT exam mainly tests the candidates on the following grounds..

Logical Reasoning
Data Sufficiency
Quantitative Aptitude
Verbal Communications
Vocabulary
Reading Comprehension

I have attached a few past papers of CAT along with this reply..

Just go through them and you will get to know the pattern and the type of questions asked..

Eligibility Criteria :-

The candidate need to completed graduate degree from a recognized University or equivalent qualification and the candidate must secure at least 50-60% marks in their examination.

Syllabus :-

Quantitative Aptitude
Data Interpretation
Logic Reasoning
Verbal ability
