Hi GATE : Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering This exam is basically held by the IIT's and the IIM's to select candidates for the Master's in Technology course, and also from this year the PSU's would be recruiting via the GATE score and your percentile. Eligibility : 1. A candidate should be a minimum graduate in B.E/B.Tech/B.Arch to be eligible for this exam. 2. He/She should have scored a minimum 60% in graduation. 3. No attemts or age limits are put up for this exam. The important dates for the GATE exam 2012 are : 1. Sale of application forms : 12 september 2011. 2. Last date to submit the application forms (filled) : 17 October. 3. Date of Examination : Online would be on 29th January 2012 and Offline would be on 12th February 2012. Re: What is the last date to apply for GATE entrance exam? Gate entrance exam is held once in year,to intake qualified students to give post graduation courses. This score will be valid for 2 years. Eligibility criteria for GATE-2012 exam: Candidate should have complete graduation degree in B.E/B.Tech/Architecture/Statistical course. Candidate being in final year in above mentioned course can also eligible for this exam. Important dates for GATE-2012 exam: Opening date for the application form is 12th Sep 2011. Closing date for the application form is 17th Oct 2012.
