In order to join in various public sector and private sector banks, mostly the entry levels are clerks and probationary officers. For probationary exam or clerical exam, the cut- off will be varied from bank to bank. Any way it will not be less than 50%. In order to appear for the clerical exam, the minimum educational qualification is 10+2 or an equivalent qualification. In order to appear for the probationary officer category, the minimum eligibility should be graduation either in science,arts or in any category. The post graduate students will also appear for the exam. For some banks the cut-off will also be an aggregate of 60% or 65% at graduation level. However it is noticed that for most of the public sector banks like -State bank of India and its associates -Andhra bank -Bank of Maharashtra -Syndicate bank the minimum cut off is 55% and sometimes it may be more than that. The pattern of examination will be by -Written test -Personal Interview. Some banks will also conduct group discussion like ICICI. |
