dear friend,
My friend you can join in air force in officer rank through defense exams like-
1.AFCAT

2.CDS

You can go for any of these exam..

Through CDS exam you can join in Air force in officer rank..

Eligibility for CDS exam:-

For Air force wing:-

1.Candidate must have complete the graduation in any trade, but must have had maths and physics in 12th..

2.Age should be in between 19-23 years..

3.Candidate must be citizen of India.

4.Candidate must be physically fit..

These are the eligibility criteria you have to fulfill to appear in CDS exam.

Eligibility for AFCAT exam:-

1.Flying branch:-

Candidate must have complete the graduation in any trade , but must have passed the 12th with physics and maths ..

Age should be in between 19-23 years.

2.Ground duty branch:-

Candidate must have complete the graduation in any trade.

Age should be in between 20-27 years.

3.Technical branch:-

Candidate must have complete the graduation in engineering field.

Age should be in between 18-28 years..

You can go for any of these field through AFCAT exam..

So, now you decide in which way you want to join in Air force..

You can join Indian Air force as an officer in various branches of Indian Air force such as FLYING BRANCH, TECHNICAL BRANCH and GROUND DUTY BRANCH. You can apply through Combined defence service examination and Air force common admission test. The CDSE examination is conducted by the UPSC twice in a year and the AFCAT examination is conducted by the Indian Air force. The detailed eligibility criteria required for both of the entrance examination is given below:

Eligibility for AFCAT
Candidate applying for the AFCAT exam should be graduate in any discipline from the recognized university and have scored not less then 60% marks in graduation.
For the flying branch candidate should have Physics and Maths at 10+2 level.
For the Technical branch only the candidates having degree in engineering are only eligible. Those appeared in the final year examination are also eligible to apply for the AFACT examination.

Candidates of the pre final year of engineering may apply for the University Entry scheme only.


Age Limit

FLYING BRANCH
19-23 years

TECHNICAL BRANCH
18-28 years

GROUND DUTY BRANCH
20-23 years

Eligibility for CDSE examination
Candidate applying for the CDSE examination should be graduate in any discipline from the recognized university. Those appeared in the final year examination are also eligible to apply for this examination. Candidate applying for the Indian Air force and Navy should have Physics and Maths at 10+2.

Indian Military Academy 19-23 Years

Air Force Academy 19-23 Years

Naval Academy 19-22 Years

Officers’ Training Academy 19-25 Years
