Re: How much is the salary of IAS officers? hi,,, the salary of IAS officers 1.IAS (Indian Administrative Services) is basically for those who are firmly determined for dedication of themselves towards the own country. 2.Application forms will come out in the month of January. 3.General-Studies paper which carries 150 marks 4.Optional paper which carries 150 marks. 5.Eligibility Criteria 6.Educational Qualification:To appear in IAS exam you should have a Graduation degree in any stream from a recognize University. If you are in final year you can also eligible to apply for the examination. 7.Age:The age must be between 21 to 30 years at the time of appearing of this examination. The age relaxation is also applicable for the candidates belong to reservation category. 8.There is many salary range for many post .but,An IAS Officer Can expect salary of Rs 15000 to 30000 per month. all the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Salary of an Indian Administrative Services IAS Officer-  IAS Pay Scales If you didn't know already, IAS salary structure consists of four Pay Scales: Junior Scale, Senior Scales, Super Time Scale, and Above Super Time Scale. Each of the pay scale further consists of different pay bands. Junior Scale Pay Band: Rs 15600-39100 Grade Pay Rs 5400 Senior Scales (i) Senior Time Scale Pay Band: Rs 15600-39100 Grade Pay Rs 6600 An IAS Officer is promoted to the Senior Time Scale usually after 7-9 years of service. (ii) Junior Administrative Grade Pay Band: Rs 15600-39100 Grade Pay Rs 7600 (iii) Selection Grade Pay Band: Rs 37400-67000 Grade Pay Rs 8700 Super Time Scale Pay Band: Rs 37400-67000 Grade Pay Rs 10000 The Super Time Scale is one of awe and power. At this level of the IAS hierarchy you will most probably be the Secretary of some state government department or you could be posted at the Centre in the position of Joint Secretary. For reference sake, it takes about 20 years to reach the Super Time Scale and become eligible for the above IAS salary. Above Super Time Scale There are three Pay Bands in this scale. Rs 37400-67000. Grade Pay of Rs 12000. The Apex Pay Scale of Rs 80000 (fixed). No Grade Pay. Cabinet Secretary Grade of Rs 90000 (fixed). No Grade Pay. |

If you are so interested for IAS,after being Engineers, Doctors, or Ph.d you can sit IAS exam conducted by UPSC. Application forms will come out in the month of January. According to the new exam pattern of the IAS exam 1) General-Studies paper which carries 150 marks 2) Optional paper which carries 150 marks. Eligibility Criteria :- 1.Educational Qualification:To appear in IAS exam you should have a Graduation degree in any stream from a recognize University. Re: How much is the salary of IAS officers? A fresh IAS would fetch around 35,000 and senior most rank around 1,00,000. A large chunk of the salary is taken back by the government as income tax. But you enjoy status, security and allownces. Most painful aspect of being an IAS is to be posted assistant to some foolish politician and that you can't avoid. |

Re: How much is the salary of IAS officers? There has been amendenment in the pay scale of IAS officers pay scale after the recommendation by 6th central pay commission.The basic pay ranges from-rs 15600 to rs 90000. For the detailed pay scale under each category go through the attachment. |

House rent. water bills. transportation. all these expenses are also exempted for IAS officer.
