Re: Can I change my college after 2 semesters? I am pursuing B.Tech from DR.B.C.ROY ENGINEERING college durgapur(under wbut) Due to some family problems I can't go to college and didn't registered for both 3rd semester and forth semester ,now I want to continue my studies . can I continue the college further? can I give the exam 3rd and 4th sem in 5th and sixth respectively or will I get a year lag..? |

Is it possible to change the subject of your undergraduatation, after 3rd semester? i have taken B.Com, and completed my 3rd semester, but my primary interest lies in Maths! Is it possible to change over to B.Sc Maths or Satictic? even itf means i rewitr all the 3 semesters of these subjects in 1 short? |

Re: Can I change my college after 2 semesters? Hi dear..  Yes , after completing second semester, you can change your college. This is known as Inter-College Migration. For this , different Universities have different criteria, but the general criteria is like this :- ~> Candidate should have at least 80% above marks in 1st and second semester. ~> No backlogs allowed in any subject. If you fulfill the criteria, you have to then take up NOC (No Objection Certificate) from your college and the college you want to go in. Both of these NOCs are the submitted to University, after which your college is changed. All the best..!! Regards Sammy |

Re: Can I change my college after 2 semesters? Hey ! Sure you can change your college after two semesters. You may even change your stream !!! Now this totally depends on your present college officials and the college you want to go in. I must tell you there is no scope of lateral entries in any of the government colleges. So please rule out any idea of taking a lateral entry in there. But yeah, you may try in the private colleges, most of them allow lateral entries, provided you meet their regulations, and pay the prerequisite fees which they ask for. Re: Can I change my college after 2 semesters? dear friend, no,my friend there is no chance to change you college after 2nd semester...you have not mention that from which profession you are..any ways, if you are from engineering field , then you have to again appear in entrance exam like IIT, JEE, after that you will get admission in a new college ,and you have to start from the beginning.. all the best.. |

Dear Friend, You may do so ,it is very common to change the college. for this according to AICTU there are some rules you have to score in 1st year near about 90%(minimum 8.25). it will be better the college administrative authority can be in contact. Sorry to say that it is not possible to change the college ,you can only change the stream if you have scored good marks in the semester better to say if you have toped in your college... You can change the college again for appearing in entrance exam and during the counseling.All the best........ |

Re: Can I change my college after 2 semesters? hello. yes there is a provision of change of college after second semester. but in order to do so you must have score a defined percentage of marks in the first and second semester. for which ever the result has been declared. normally that criteria is 70%. and can only change college under same university only.. another thing you must watch out for is that the college as free seat for your accommodation and your present allows you to change college.... ALL THE BEST.... |

You can ask the college authorities to which you are taking admission about this process whether they accept such lateral entry. Best of Luck |

The management department of your college will change your branch on the basis of your marks obtained during the first sem. They make a merit list on the basis of marks obtained by students who are applying for the branch change then they will change the branch on the basis of number of seats available. So after the following procedures your branch may be changed. GOOD LUCK |

If you are a fresher please do know about many colleges from persons updated about educational institutions and brilliant students. Wish you to get into good college. If your college is lacking in necessary facilities you can go for another college.But do keep in mind that fees structures for your optional college suits you. "Discontinuing from one college and joining in others matters a lot in your resume". Until you are with valid reason avoid changing colleges. With regards for a best future. |

Sometimes the college takes some amount like 20k-30k and allows you to change the college but condition is that you can change the college which is affiliated to same university as your previous one. But some strict college does not allow you to quit until whole course fees is not paid |

You can continue with 3rd semester if and only if the both colleges/universities are agree for this sliding. Generally after completing two semesters or one year in one college, permission can be granted to change the college by negotiating between both the college authorities.
