So it is a problem for many aspirants those are preparing for competitive exams and for working in a good company. I am giving some tips from these you can improve your English communication skill. 1. You should learn the basic grammar of English like tenses, Noun, Pronoun and Voice. 2. Learn 5-10 verbs or meaning from a dictionary. 3. Don’t hesitate and try to speak others in English. 4. You can use websites for English learning from starting. 5. Start reading English newspapers daily with loud. 6. Watch English movies, programs and News. 7. Never get shy in front of peoples while speaking English. 8. Start doing discussion to your other friends it will make your and friends English communication skills good. 9. Try to speak correct pronunciation. 10. Try to find meanings of new words. 11. Make minimum 10-20 new sentences and write a paragraph daily on any topic. 12. Try to speak on a topic in a week or twice in a week. 13. Always be positive and never get hesitate in speaking English. 14. Read books of English learning those books will provide you some extra knowledge. 15. Try to participate in college or schools English speech competitions. 16. Memorize synonyms and antonyms of English language. 17. Practice daily for speaking for an hour or two hours. 18. You can also join English coaching. 19. Try to use proverbs and idioms in your communication. 20. You can check your pronunciation on some websites like Google search. Speaking English is not a tough task if you practice daily and try to speak. The tips through which you can improve you English are as follows :- 1. Forget everything and start speaking. Speak wrong but speak to create a habit. 2. Speak in front of a mirror 3. Read newspaper daily 4. Try to grab new word and use them while speaking to include it in your habit 5. Try to join some coaching classes for a better environment 6. Pick any topic and speak on it when you are alone and you have to increase the time of your speech everyday by 15 seconds 7. Mute the television and try to give commentory on the cricket match 8. When you are watching television, observe the mouth movements of the speakers. Repeat what they are saying, while imitating the intonation and rhythm of their speech. ii. Until you learn the correct intonation and rhythm of English, slow your speech down. If you speak too quickly, and with the wrong intonation and rhythm, native speakers will have a hard time understanding you. Don't worry about your listener getting impatient with your slow speech -- it is more important that everything you say be understood. iii. Listen to the 'music' of English. Do not use the 'music' of your native language when you speak English. Each language has its own way of 'singing'. iv. Use the dictionary. Try and familiarize yourself with the phonetic symbols of your dictionary. Look up the correct pronunciation of words that are hard for you to say. v. Make a list of frequently used words that you find difficult to pronounce and ask someone who speaks the language well to pronounce them for you. Record these words, listen to them and practice saying them. Listen and read at the same time. vi. Buy books on tape. Record yourself reading some sections of the book. Compare the sound of your English with that of the person reading the book on the tape. vii. Pronounce the ending of each word. Pay special attention to 'S' and 'ED' endings. This will help you strengthen the mouth muscles that you use when you speak English. viii. Read aloud in English for 15-20 minutes every day. Research has shown it takes about three months of daily practice to develop strong mouth muscles for speaking a new language. ix. Record your own voice and listen for pronunciation mistakes. Many people hate to hear the sound of their voice and avoid listening to themselves speak. However, this is a very important exercise because doing it will help you become conscious of the mistakes you are making. x. Be patient. You can change the way you speak but it won't happen overnight. People often expect instant results and give up too soon. You can change the way you sound if you are willing to put some effort into it. Quick tips Various versions of the English language exist. Begin by identifying the category you fall into and start by improving the clarity of your speech. ~ Focus on removing the mother tongue influence and the 'Indian-isms' that creep into your English conversations. ~ Watch the English news on television channels like Star World, CNN, BBC and English movies on Star Movies and HBO. ~ Listen to and sing English songs. We'd recommend West life, Robbie Williams [ Images ], Abba, Skeeter Davis and Connie Francis among others. Hello Friend, English is very important to your chance of getting a job after B.Tech because clearly if you can't speak English properly then all your technical knowledge will be a waste as you won't be able to express the vast knowledge that you have gained in your B.Tech properly. The best way to do that is when you are speaking english , record your voice and then listen it carefully to find out the errors and mistakes you have done. This way you can improve not only the grammar part but also you will come to know exactly what are the areas you need improvements. Reading newspapers sometime be boring..I would rather suggest you to watch lot of english movies , in that way you will improve your vocabulary and at the same time you will have fun ;). |

Never hesitate to communicate in English, even if youthink you are wrong! No one, not even an American, came to this world with prior knowledge of English. Always refine your vocabulary by consulting the dictionary for any new word that you encounter. Try to read books and journals in the language daily.
